@RCCDSB Congratulations Mark on your appointment as Director of Education for the RCCDSB!! Couldn’t have picked a better person for the job! The Board will be well served by your leadership.
It's coming along nicely! Our Support Facility, the new home for many of our infrastructure and skilled trades, continues to move ahead.
Many thanks to all involved, both CNL and contractors, working hard despite the challenges of COVID and the hot humid weather. Stay safe.
John’s passion for Catholic Education in Renfrew Country and across all Ontario was an inspiration to many educators and colleagues who had the good fortune to work with him.He will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with John’s family during this difficult time.
It is with great sadness that we share with our members and education partners across Ontario the recent passing of our dear former OCSTA Executive Director, John Stunt. Our prayers go out to John’s family and friends #onted@RCCDSB@OttCatholicSB@niagaracatholic@CCSTAconnect
I find it hard to believe you would find hundreds of teachers happy with this budget!! Maybe Doug needs some math training so he can get his numbers right!!!
In first question period after the budget, NDP focuses on education (below-inflation 1.2% avg annual increase over next 3 yrs).
Premier Doug Ford says: "I've talked to hundreds and hundreds of teachers over the last few weeks. They were so happy to hear our budget." #onpoli
I’ve never seen a president so blatant in his determination to serve primarily his supporters at the expense of what the oath of the office demands - to "faithfully execute the office of President of the United States." All of the states, and every citizen therein.
It's 25 years since the Rwandan genocide. The scale and speed of that massacre still is incomprehensible - 800,000 murdered in 100 days. Many more raped and injured. We had told ourselves Never Again, and we failed. We must be ever-diligent in combating the forces of hate.
Honestly, how did we get to the upside-down thinking that leaders decide who’s allowed to be a member of caucus or a party? Members decides who the leader is; leaders don’t decide who the members are.
Democracy and discipline are not synonyms.

Ford said one of the protestors has "a filthy mouth. They should have their mouth washed out with soap." Video of what prompted this:

If student protesters were causing a disruption, no issue having them removed from the gallery, however, the Premier’s comments were unwarranted and shows his complete lack of understanding of the struggles faced by many students to obtain a post secondary education in Ontario.👎
After some student activists shout and get ejected from the public gallery during a question about #OSAP, Premier Doug Ford says “Here’s an example of indoctrination, what we just saw up there.”
Then after sitting down he adds, “They’re gonna be good socialists.” #onpoli
