Today i reaffirmed my commitment to improving education by supporting the ongoing construction of Mpumwe Community Secondary School, Kigumba Sub-county in Kiryandongo District.
As part of my contribution, i donated 70 iron sheets to facilitate the construction of student's classrooms and help provide a conducive learning environment for students. The iron sheets were officially handed over to the school management in the presence of the LC1 Chairperson of the village, local leaders, and residents, who witnessed the occasion.
I emphasized that investing in education is investing in the future of Kiryandongo District and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that enhance access to quality education for all.

Today i joined the residents of Nyama Village in Kiryandongo District for a land boundary opening exercise attended by several district and national leaders, including Hon. Karubanga Jacob, MP for Kibanda South, Hon. Nelson Osaga, LC5 Chairperson for Kiryandongo District, Jonathan Akweteireho, Deputy RDC for Kiryandongo District, Ulama Museveni LC3 Chairperson for Kigumba Sub-county, LC1 leaders, and residents of Nyama Village.
During the exercise, the boundary of the Church of God Nyama land was successfully opened. However, a dispute remains over another section of land involving a buyer identified as Captain Umar, who residents allege encroached on village land.
The exercise ended prematurely after the District Land Surveyor proposed using the latest land title to determine the boundary, a move that local residents rejected. They insisted that the original land title should be used instead.
Following discussions, we agreed to search for the original land title and reconvene on 18 July 2026 to continue the boundary opening process and seek a lasting resolution to the dispute.
Today, the Ministry of Health Ministers held a bilateral engagement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Country Representative to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Health and UNFPA.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in key health priorities, including reproductive, maternal, newborn, adolescent and youth health, population programmes, and strengthening Uganda’s healthcare system through continued partnership.
Together, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of all Ugandans.
Today i concluded a working visit to the second project of Abubaker Technical Services an ongoing specialized skilling technical institute that is currently under construction and is set to equip Ugandan youth with practical engineering and technical skills upon completion.
During the visit, i toured the construction site and also inspected the ongoing Kibooga, Hoima-Busunju road project being undertaken by the company. I interacted with local residents, who shared how the road project has improved their livelihoods through better transport, increased business opportunities, and employment.
I commend Abubaker Technical Services for investing in skills development and infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of empowering Ugandan youth through technical education and employment.
I further appealed to the company's management to consider offering bursaries, training, and employment opportunities to the youth from Kiryandongo District once the institute becomes operational, noting that such opportunities would equip them with valuable skills and contribute to reducing youth unemployment.

I met Rt Hon Baroness Chapman, the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for International Development and Africa, today at State House Entebbe. We discussed investment and ways to strengthen the partnership between Uganda and the United Kingdom. I also called upon British and European investors to take a keen interest in investing in Africa, as the continent has enormous potential for economic growth, trade, and prosperity. I welcome her.
