The US healthcare system is socialism with soft rationing. The lack of hard rationing is what drives costs.
Medicare for All and what many other countries have is socialism with hard rationing.
They sell "access" as the entry. Once you're locked in they reduce costs through control and by denying access.
Two tools of the machine arguing over who is more corrupt.
One wants to give that machine more power over your life.
The other pretends to fight it, then votes for bigger government.
Healthcare, housing, and grocery prices are what that looks like in real life: subsidize junk, restrict supply, and the healthy/affordable option becomes the rare one.

Get involved in local politics.
Buy meat from local ranchers instead of chain stores.
Go to farmers markets for fresh produce and goods.
Strong local community is the best protection for your family.
First lettuce. Now jalapeños.
The U.S. already has one of the most expensive and expansive regulatory layers between you and your food, and it still can’t protect you from this.
The answer is not to give them more power over your food.
The answer is to take more of it back.
