Absolutely!

The best head I worked for never achieved an ‘outstanding’ inspection outcome, in fact flirted with requires improvement. Never got those amazing ‘headline results’ in the papers. But no one remembers or cares for that now, years later. What I care about is how he made me feel as a staff member, put great faith in me, built me, protected me. Same for other staff. Cared deeply about children in school, genuine, not sound bites. These things are memorable because authentic, real memories were made. These things matter. If only we could focus more on this, our whole countries education system would be in a better place.

If everyone who has been grateful for the NHS over the past 75 years followed and retweeted we’d reach a million by midnight.

Please take just two seconds to show you care.

Is disruptive behaviour at school either because children just don’t want to behave (and need stricter boundaries and consequences), or alternatively due to their unmet needs? No, and heres why not. 1/

Oh I ❤️❤️❤️ this!!

We are showing our commitment to the game-changing work of Dr Bruce Perry, that has inspired our school, by making this statement on our school windows #Regulate #Relate #Reason @BDPerry

[L30 Relational Systems @Markfinnis]

🔹If we focus on behaviour we will focus on what’s wrong. 🔹If we focus on relationships we focus on what’s strong 🔹Behaviour policy or 🔹Relationship policy? #ThereIsAnotherWay #OnlyConnect

School Absence Laws are harming our young people.
Yesterday I talked to a group of child therapists about trauma and neurodiversity. Spontaneously, they brought up the effect of government attendance policies on the young people they work with. Here's why we need change. 1/

Help a child who is grieving by keeping their loved ones memory alive. Physical death or separation of any kind doesn’t end emotional relationships. @RobynBrickel @RobinCogan @TurnAroundMom @ACEsIngrid @AllisonMaxon @

@naomicfisher @_MissingTheMark This makes so much sense & as a parent I have experienced anxiety interventions that promoted exactly what you have described but I know some of the issue is in the school approach (punitive punishments) within a broken system overall.

@WhistleblowingT Tell them it’s 2022 and to read the Equality Act 2010 and shut up! Ask for a referral to occupational health so that they can be advised appropriately on the simple reasonable adjustments that will be made to support your return to work! 😖

[Michelle wallace (Clinton) @Michell83248026]

@MorrisonBeth Omg no! 😥

[Naomi Fisher @naomicfisher]

As a clinical psychologist, I'm often asked what to do about school refusal. By which adults usually mean, how can we get the children to go to school and stop protesting? Here's why our kids need us to think differently. 1/

@louisetickle Realising our hotel booking for Salamanca in Spain was actually a booking for a hotel in Salamanca, Mexico! By this point we had arrived in Spain! 🤦🏻‍️
