I really appreciate this perspective. ❤️ I think I’ve been overthinking how I should communicate, when maybe I just need to experiment and find what feels authentic to me.

And yes, AI has helped me a lot with English since it isn’t my native language. It makes it easier for me to express the thoughts behind my art instead of just posting the artwork itself.

I spend so much time connected to everything.

People, screens, money, numbers, notifications.

There is always something to check.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually connected,
or if I'm just getting better at being alone while surrounded by all of it.

Maybe that's the strange part about being online all the time.

You can see everything,
and still feel like you're missing something.

This piece is about seeking validation through the digital world.

“Everyone likes you” sounds comforting, but behind the likes, messages, and attention, there can still be a feeling of emptiness.

It’s about being constantly seen online, while quietly wondering if anyone actually sees you.

Maybe we’re not always looking for attention.

Sometimes, we just don’t want to feel invisible.

I made this piece thinking about the thin line between reality and illusion.
The flowers covering her eyes represent a world that only she can see. A world that might look like an illusion to everyone else, but feels completely real to her.
Maybe she isn't hiding from reality.
Maybe reality is hiding from her.
And perhaps that's what maboroshi means to me sometimes, what we call an illusion is simply another way of seeing.
