The deceased Mr Dyer had "suffered a series of tragic losses in his family, including losing his mother and sister to drowning." He found his way onto a discord server, a place to share thoughts about mental health, but it turned out to be anything but supportive.

Phelan ended up on a videocall with Mr Dyer, and two other people. He and the others encouraged the extremely vulnerable Dyer to do things to himself, and to pull the trigger that ended his life. Phelan laughed when he actually did, and kept a recording of the suicide on his computer.

When searching his computer, police found an indecent image of a child, and extreme pornography.

This is Lady Maggie Scott — a senior Scottish judge.

She allowed convicted child rapist (below) Daniel Cieslak to walk free with an absolute discharge after he raped a 12-year-old girl.

Instead of a conviction for rape, she said the child “looked over 16” and let him off completely — no jail, no sex offenders register.

In another case, she praised Algerian rapist Hamadache Hamza for “overcoming his difficult background” and setting up a hairdressing business, after he brutally raped a woman leaving her with internal injuries.

These are the people deciding justice in Britain.

No wonder victims lose all faith. No wonder predators laugh at the system.

Name them. Shame them. SACK THEM.

Callum Peacock beat his girlfriend, hit her with a golf club and broom handle, bit her arm, threw dumbbells and a bottle of bleach and paint over her and attempted to set her on fire in a harrowing three hour attack.

When police arrived he told them she had hit him. He did a Brian Laundrie and rolled the dice. HE tried to DARVO the victim. He then put her through a trial and was found guilty. Judge Stuart Driver gave him an 18 month suspended sentence and rehabilitation order and a five year restraining order. Judge Driver said he was ‘young’ and ill equipped for adult relationships, he had no previous convictions and had been in care.

Poor dear. Vile himpathy yet again. This won’t be Peacock’s first offence or his last.

Facts: Peacock is a risk and danger to girls and women. He knew what he was doing.
Excusing his behaviour because he was 19 is not ok. If anything, it should be seen as MORE serious due to his age.

This isn’t justice. What about the victim?

We will see more dangerous and boys getting away with it with a smack on the wrist due to the revised sentencing guidelines and the focus on diverting boys and men U25 OUT of the criminal justice system. NOT OK:

A 51-year-old suspect will appear in Rouxville Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of attempted murder and rape. The suspect's freedom was cut short after the victim reported the incident in the morning to Rouxville police, who acted swiftly to arrest him.

The 50-year-old complainant, who is also a victim, alleges that on 13 June 2026 she was at her neighbour’s house from 14:00 drinking. When it got dark outside, she decided to go to her place to sleep as she was already drunk. She further alleges that on arrival at her place, she entered the house and went straight to bed without locking the door.

She stated that at about 20:30, approximately after 30 minutes of her arrival, someone opened the door, she said she raised her head to see who it was and she saw the suspect. She asked him what he wanted in her place. According to her, his response was: "kgale ke batlana le wena," meaning I've been looking for you for a very long time. The suspect strangled her and dragged her from one bed to another, where he undressed her and raped her before leaving the house.

The complainant reported that she waited for daylight to report the incident. All role players were informed, and the suspect was later arrested.

15 888 SUSPECTS ARRESTED AND 2773 CONVICTED FOR CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN IN THE PAST YEAR

The South African Police Service (SAPS), working closely with key stakeholders, continues to intensify its fight against those who perpetrate crimes against children.

In the past year, 15 888 suspects were arrested nationwide and 2 773 convicted for crimes against children.

As Child Protection Month draws to a close, SAPS reaffirms its unwavering commitment to protecting children and ensuring that offenders are brought to justice.

Throughout Child Protection Month, law enforcement agencies, government departments, civil society organisations, and community structures strengthened awareness campaigns, prevention initiatives, and targeted operations aimed at safeguarding children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, trafficking, and other forms of violence.

SAPS' National Child Protection Month campaign culminated in a dialogue session and learner engagement held on Saturday, 06 June 2026, in Ntabankulu in the Eastern Cape, attended by more than 300 learners from local schools.

The National Component Head: Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, Major General Mmantsheke Lekhele led the proceedings and was joined by the Eastern Cape Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Policing, Major General Ngangema Xakavu, the Executive Mayor of the Ntabankulu Local Municipality, Councillor Vuyokazi Matwasa, and Chief MG Diko as well as other senior SAPS management, representatives from government departments, faith-based organisations and crime prevention stakeholders.

The solution-driven dialogue created an opportunity for SAPS, stakeholders and learners to engage openly on the consequences of teenage pregnancy, the legal implications of statutory rape, and the long-term impact these crimes have on the lives and futures of young people.

Delivering the keynote address, Major General Lekhele encouraged learners to make informed choices, speak out against abuse, and report criminal conduct. She further emphasised the importance of creating safe environments where children are protected, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Notable convictions and investigations highlighted during Child Protection Month include:

▶️ *Gauteng*: On 13 May 2026, the Pretoria North Magistrates' Court sentenced a stepfather to five life terms and an additional 60 years' imprisonment for rape, sexual assault, crimen injuria, and possession of child sexual abuse material. The victim was 12 years old when the abuse began.

▶️ *Eastern Cape*: The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit in Humansdorp arrested a 39-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman for the alleged rape of a critically ill seven-year-old girl following an intensive investigation. The alleged abuse was uncovered after medical personnel at a provincial hospital in Gqeberha detected signs of sexual abuse while the child was receiving treatment.

▶️ *Western Cape*: The Western Cape High Court sentenced a paedophile from Ceres to five life terms and an additional 78 years' imprisonment for a series of sexual offences committed against two nine-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl.

▶️ *Limpopo*: On 02 June 2026, the Groblersdal Regional Court sentenced a 22-year-old man to life imprisonment for the rape of a 10-year-old girl in the Motetema policing area.

▶️ *KwaZulu-Natal*: The Durban Magistrate's Court sentenced a 36-year-old man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of raping his 12-year-old neighbour in 2021.

▶️ *Free State*: The Bloemfontein Regional Court sentenced a 33-year-old mother to three life terms and 23 years imprisonment and her 36-year-old boyfriend to three life terms on multiple charges of rape, sexual exploitation, and common assault.
