@JaneCabrera3 does it again! Grace not only celebrates her birthday but also celebrates those close to her with thank you letters. The eye-popping colors help engage emergent readers into the story. Teachers could use this to model and engage the concept of thank you letters.
I never knew the story of Louis Bourgeois before today- but I'm fascinated by her. Amy Novesky weaves wonderful imagery while Isabelle Arsenault visually creates a world of cloth, water, and mother's love. A beautiful story helps us understand artists' motivations and thinking
Bruce continues to be my favorite crotchety character- perhaps I see a kindred spirit in him. A big storm hits his town and his neighbors find refuge with him. Even though he doesn't want them there- he finds his better self by the end of the book. Thank you @RyanT_Higgins!
Just finished Brothers Keeper- @julieleeauthor what a moving book. My aunt grew up during the Korean War and it gives me a new perspective of her strength. Thank you

Thank you https://t.co/M6ZxXptuwK for Play Like an Animal! It is brimming with fun. This gem allows students to explore how animals behave. It also gives them vocabulary and great action verbs! An enjoyable picture book for sure.
@tamilewisbrown & @DebbieLorenDunn wrote a great biography about William Perkin who wanted to pursue science when it wasn't cool. Like many scientists, big discoveries go, he was trying to make a cure for malaria and ended up with a way to make a rich purple dye for cloth.
@saraoleary wrote a special book about the extraordinary relationship a grandmother has with her granddaughter. Maud visits her grandmother (Grand-Maud) on weekends where they share activities. My favorite is the box under the bed- so saving this idea for my own grandchildren
Fly, Girl, Fly! is a lovely picture book that features a strong woman that I hadn't heard about but should have. Shaesta Waiz is the youngest woman to ever fly a single-engine aircraft around the world. Alexandra Bye's https://t.co/oYwHzZuqKl art is beautiful and inviting.
