No Man's Land Episode 3 · The Next One Up ⚽️

Theo Pratt is 19. He's been at West Essex since he was 5. Every age group, one badge, and now the first team.

He didn't get there because of the story. He got there because he's good enough.

This is what it looks like when a step 5 club does it properly: a youth system that took a five-year-old all the way through, a manager who backs him, a changing room that took him in, and the opportunity to play the beautiful game.

1 day until the next episode 👀

The Next One Up drops tomorrow: what Step 5 football looks like for the youngsters earning their stripes.

From a manager 30 years in, to a player just getting started a few seasons into first-team football.

Thirty seasons in the dugout. A past life as a professional boxer. A family man away from the game.

With his time spent at @BarkingsideFC, @barkingfc, @GraysAthleticFC, @TheMotormen, @DulwichHamletFC, @BTFC, @KingstonianFC, @Cheshunt_FC, and now back at Barking FC, 25 years on.

That summary doesn't do @cw_edwards justice. Tomorrow's episode does 👀

The Gaffer. Episode 2 of No Man's Land. Tomorrow.
