The Essex Senior League is full of people who give it far more than ninety minutes a week. Managers who've been doing it for decades, for the love of it. This is the story of one of them. Craig Edwards.

Thirty seasons in management. A pro boxer before any of it. Five sons, two daughters, nine grandkids. And every Saturday, a changing room full of blokes who'd run through a brick wall for him.

We followed and mic’d up @cw_edwards for the start of the season @barkingfc: Tuesday night training, classroom sessions and a Saturday at home until the final whistle. This is what it takes to manage a football club together at this level, and why, after thirty years, he's still doing it.
