🚨DALLAS — At the Republican midterm convention Wednesday night, organizers tried to scare the crowd about the radical left. Their chosen visual aid was a photo of Twitch streamer Hasan Piker in his underwear, blown up on the American Airlines Center jumbotron.

The image appeared in a montage of protests, Trump clips, and other “here’s why you should panic” footage. Online, people immediately called it a thirst trap. In the arena, it was treated like opposition research.

Piker watched the clip on his stream, then announced that Republicans had put his “meat pic” on the big screen at “Trumpapalooza.” He noted they blurred his bulge, which is either restraint or an attempt to keep the Republican men in attendance from feeling inadequate. He also joked they were trying to “make Blexas happen.”

Grindr also crashed in Dallas as the convention got underway, a tradition so reliable it now functions as unofficial RSVP software. It is unknown whether the Piker image prompted Republicans to check their Grindr apps.

Either way, the party that spent the night warning about cultural decay spent part of it staring at a socialist in briefs. I guess their message is to fear a Bulgevik revolution.
