I knew Florence Pugh would deliver in Netflix's East of Eden and she does, but the surprise best performance for me was Hoon Lee!! Absolutely beautiful work

Kids complain about road trips while holding an iPad. I used to stare out the window for six hours and hope we passed a cow.

NO BAD DAYS IN OCTOBER… RT 🌱🌸

Never thought Dark Matter would be the show to make me tear up, but here we are. 😭 Joel Edgerton was incredible in this week’s episode, and by the end, I was completely in my feelings. One of the most emotionally beautiful episodes I’ve seen this year. #DarkMatter

Aileen Wuornos was a severely abused and traumatized woman who killed men that tried to rape her. Her father was a pedophile who raped a 7 year old and later committed suicide. Her mother abandoned her as at the age of 4 resulting in her being adopted by her grandparents which she later accused her grandfather of sexually abusing her. At 14 she was raped by a friend of her grandfather and became pregnant. Her grandfather forced her to give up the baby for adoption.

She struggled with addiction and undiagnosed mental illnesses her whole life due to her childhood trauma. She eventually became a sex worker to support herself and began killing in self defense after potential clients she’d turn down tried to overpower her and rape her.

She was a tortured soul who never had a fair chance at life. She wasn’t crazy. She was mentally ill and needed help. The system failed her and she was sentenced to death rather than given rehabilitation opportunities. Her case will always devastate me.

Lo amo. Es mi corto favorito desde siempre. Véanlo, es una cosa preciosa y perfecta.

The reporting is as bad as the behaviour in the video. Homophobia has no place in our society. Why humiliate harmless individuals?

Terminé la tercera temporada de SILO. Pido disculpas públicamente por todos estos años en los que no supe aprovechar esta maravilla. Qué serie tan ABSURDAMENTE increíble. 😭

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

This shit was crazy. Make sure you set aside 2.5 hours cuz you'll binge the whole thing.

Don't let a 10-minute problem consume a 24-hour day. The email was uncomfortable. The train was late. The conversation went poorly. Feel it, deal with it, then allow the rest of your life to remain intact.

I have never in my life heard a man say something so accurate about how misogyny is baked into our language. Wow. Must watch.

I can’t get over this video, sorry. Eight whole reps with one hand, his knees didn’t buckle under the weight. He’s incredible!

Gear acquisition syndrome, and how buying (or posting) the thing gives our brain a similar sensation to actually doing it.

We must resist
