Now, local organisers of the coming World Cup had planned to celebrate Pride Month during a period that later turned out to include the Iran vs Egypt match, something fully acceptable to the host nation and to the host state of Washington. So why not respect the culture of this host nation too?

Tariffs are paid by the US companies that import goods, so no money is flowing into the USA. It's just going from American companies (and, eventually, American consumers) to the government.
There is nothing to celebrate. Moving from average tariffs of less than 2% on trade between the USA and Europe to 15% under today’s deal will inevitably lead to inflation.
