🚨Barcelona Did It To PSG — Now Atlético Madrid Is Doing The Same To Barcelona🚨

Let’s be honest here, because the history speaks for itself.

Back in 2017, PSG wanted Neymar. Barcelona never wanted to negotiate because Neymar was NOT FOR SALE.

Then Neymar made it clear that he wanted the move and wanted Barcelona to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain.

I remember reports at the time that PSG were willing to offer more than €100M, but Barcelona still didn’t want to sell.

So what did Barcelona do?

They pointed PSG directly to Neymar’s €225M release clause.

The message was simple: We are not selling Neymar. If you really want him, pay the clause.

And honestly, back in 2017, €225M sounded almost impossible.

Paul Pogba was the world record transfer at around €90M when Manchester United signed him from Juventus.

So when Barcelona put a €225M clause on the table, everyone understood what it meant, “they had no intention of negotiating a normal transfer.”

PSG didn’t complain.

PSG didn’t play the victim.

PSG didn’t try to make Barcelona look like the villain.

They paid the €225M release clause and took Neymar.

That was class.

They wanted the player, Barcelona didn’t want to sell, so they paid the price and got the deal done.

Now fastforward to 2026.

Barcelona wants Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid.

Atlético Madrid says NO.

They don’t want to sell their player.

Barcelona has managed to convince Álvarez , and he wants the move, but that still doesn’t change Atlético’s position not to sell.

The club has pointed to his €500M release clause.

Wait a minute…

Isn’t that exactly what Barcelona did with Neymar? 🤔

Barcelona told PSG: You want Neymar? Pay €225M.

Atlético Madrid is essentially saying: You want Álvarez? Pay €500M.

The difference is that PSG accepted the challenge.

Barcelona, instead of simply paying the clause, is now making Atlético Madrid look like the villain for refusing to sell a player they don’t want to sell.

You cannot have it both ways.

When Barcelona didn’t want to sell Neymar, the release clause was perfectly valid.

When Atlético Madrid doesn’t want to sell Álvarez, suddenly the release clause becomes a problem.

The rules cannot change just because you are on the other side of the negotiation.

If Barcelona truly believes Julián Álvarez is worth it, there is a €500M clause.

Pay it. Take the player. And move on.

That is exactly what PSG did in 2017.

he just openly called perez stupid for something we’ve been saying for years, and deservedly so, because anyone can see that he’s the most useless signing and has destabilised the entire team.

imagine if he wasn’t here today: psg probably wouldn’t be thinking about winning a single ucl, let alone two in a row. secondly, we would have gone all out for a real number 9 to complement a creative winger like vinicius. the dressing room atmosphere would still be vibrant as it has always been for years before his arrival.

This is pure balderdash. You clearly haven’t watched a single full match of José Mourinho at Roma, Fenerbahçe, Benfica, or Spurs, yet you’re here writing absolute rubbish about him.

José has not failed in any of the jobs where he was eventually sacked.

At Roma, he delivered the club’s first ever major European trophy by winning the UEFA Conference League. He then took them to the Europa League final the following season, where they were only denied by a controversial penalty shootout. That is not failure. That is history.

At Fenerbahçe he finished second in his very first season. One season. Anyone who understands football knows what is happening in Turkey, especially in a league dominated by fierce corruption.

At Benfica, he arrived after the season had already started, with the club struggling and almost eliminated from the Champions League group stage. Despite that, he beat Real Madrid CF and guided them into the knockout rounds. Again, that is not failure.

At Spurs, he was sacked just days before a cup final. And we all know what happened next. Spurs did what Spurs do best: they lost the final. If anything, that decision only reinforced Mourinho’s value as a serial winner.

People are too quick to judge based on headlines instead of actual football. Mourinho has consistently improved teams, won trophies, and restored belief wherever he has gone.

This is the same rubbish you said about Antoine Semenyo when he signed for Manchester City, all based on some useless six-minute video. That tells me everything.

You lot only know how to watch the so-called big teams and then pretend to be experts on managers and players you clearly do not follow.

Watch the games. Study the context. Understand the circumstances. Then come and talk football.

Until then, stop disrespecting one of the greatest managers the game has ever seen.
