@MyBlaqueWrytes @StrikeDebt That is what I am SCREAMING! Don’t cancel my actual debt just cancel the interest! I’ll pay the rest off in a couple of years!
@hillbillydew@RepChuyGarcia I don’t think a blanket debt forgiveness is the answer but there should be a middle ground. Don’t pick and choose whose loans to forgive. I am a white female who grew up underprivileged who was led to believe college was the only choice and debt was the only way.
@hillbillydew@KEubanks3@lettiebelle16 Or forgive everyone’s equally. I taught 20 years in a title 1 public school nothing was forgiven. I was the first person in my family to ever graduate from high school or college and was not entitled to any kind of financial aid. I don’t mind paying my ACTUAL debt.
@ellisgreg You WANT to believe her but it is SO one sided and all the other evidence combined with her “version” of events makes it so difficult to believe 10% of what she saying is the whole truth.
@loudlearning Agreed but come in on a reg basis. Be fluent in the classroom. If you are only going to show up 2x a year with a clipboard then I would rather be “left alone”
@lettiebelle16 Allow teachers that have JUST resigned/retired to transition to subs without having to pay $100 for a new drug test and background check🤔
