Vice President Sara Duterte said that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, did not harass or pressure political rivals, including former Vice President Leni Robredo, during his presidency.

During a press conference on Friday, October 18, Duterte mentioned that when Robredo's office received a budget of only P700 million, it was simply the amount proposed, dismissing any claims that it was an act of political retaliation.

Duterte also highlighted that none of Robredo's allies were suspended or removed from their positions due to their association with her.

She further stated that even critics like former Sen. Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV, a known adversary of the former president, were not targeted or mistreated under her father's administration.
