🗣️ “That’s the most beautiful thing you’ll ever do, is to play sport.”
🗣️ “As I got older, I realised, I know f****** nothing.”
The late Eamon Ryan was a major influence in Keith Ricken’s coaching career, with a ‘player first’ approach to the game.
An American Jewish orthopedic surgeon in Gaza says he saw Israeli soldiers bury two bound children alive and heard them screaming under the dirt until they died.
They are war criminals. END OF!

Never forget when an Israeli settler
literally dragged the body of a lifeless
child with a rope behind his golf court.
He can even be seen touching the body later.
Studies now present a striking picture of what happens when private equity firms acquire hospitals and nursing homes: predictable increases in harm and deaths. One landmark study shows: patient deaths up about 11% after such acquisitions.
"Billy in the Bowl" was a disabled beggar born with no legs who became a serial killer. He terrorised 18th-century Stoneybatter and Oxmantown, using his muscular arms to drag himself through the lamplit cobblestone streets in his eponymous bowl to prey on vulnerable women.
Billy was described as a handsome and charismatic bloke who lived fairly well despite his unfortunate circumstances, by begging for food and coin from the maids and servant-girls of the area. But something snapped in him and he began to rob wealthy women passing through town then theft escalated to murder.
Billys grim legend entered Dublin folklore in the form of ghost stories and songs like ‘The twang-man’ and the Pogues song song ‘The Sick Bed of Cuchulainn’. He is even featured in Joyce's Finnegans Wake as ‘Billi with the Boule".
He began to stalk his female victims, learning their routines and lying in wait to pounce on them, using his unique physicality to conceal himself in ditches and hedges which is defo another @A24 horror blockbuster waiting to be made. Contact me lads, I beat the lad in an armwrestle once and I`ll write it for you for the price of a few jars of @Tuborg.
Anyway Billy in the Bowl would overpower these poor victims with his freakishly strong arms and strangle them then fleece them.
His horrific crime spree came to an end in 1786 when he changed his modus operandi and attacked two women at once near the Royal Barracks (now Collins Barracks). One of his would-be victims gouged his eyes with her thumbs, fair play to her.
The ladies escaped, and a manhunt began for the instantly recognisable assailant. Billy was captured and tied up and conveyed into custody in a wheel-barrow, jeered by onlookers and pelted with rotten vegetables as was the style at the time.
Without evidence of his alleged murders he was only convicted of robbery, which seems extremly lenient and progressive for 18th century Dublin, and condemned to the dreaded Newgate prison to spend the remainder of his days in hard labour.
Now as we talk about our BITB and the 1700s Protestant Ascendancy Ireland it's worth remembering that people with disabilities were often treated with extreme discrimination. Their physical situation, over which they had no control, was often cruelly and ignorantly attributed as a judgement from god. Compounding this misery, stigma and social ostracism, they were often unable to work, leaving them entirely at the precarious charity of others.

13 workers left Palantir and issued this statement.
"Palantir is increasingly complicit, normalizing authoritarianism under the guise of a 'revolution' led by oligarchs. We must resist this trend."
Yesterday in Glasgow, a far-right group marched through a public park. A local man, born and raised in the area, challenged them and made it clear they weren’t welcome.
After the confrontation, they claimed he had been “recording children in the park” a narrative that was rapidly amplified by numerous far-right accounts online.
The man later released footage of the entire encounter, showing what happened from his perspective.
Turns out they were lying. This is why we should encourage migrants to start filming these racists upon false allegations.
"For some reason they love to say they hype is getting to Mayo"
Players have enough to be worried about, playing a huge game in front of 80,000 people, to be concerned about supporters enjoying themselves
Realise that insects are declining, trees are dying in the fields, streets are super-hot, oceans are changing, our wildlife is growing sparse… Everyone is responsible. We are letting our environment die. Think what *you* can do… we can all do something.
