“Prisoner turned playwright”
This is my proudest moment since founding my amazing charity @I4YPC
Being celebrated as a #GreaterMancunian in the city that I was born and bred in, is the greatest honour that could ever be bestowed. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Absolutely delighted and honoured to have been shortlisted for a #spiritofsalford award here @aj_bell_stadium
Out of over 1,000 nominations, we’re up for a Community Safety Award. What an honour to be so highly thought of in our home city of #Salford
Thank you so much!
Honoured that my portrait will be featured at HOME Manchester on April 6th as part of an exhibition celebrating Manchester’s changemakers in one of the best cultural spaces in my city. Can’t wait to see it in person! @proudlyframeworthy #FrameworthyManchester#proudlyframeworthy
Well given that I was absolutely shit at this kind of stuff when I was younger, I’m pretty damn chuffed with myself. If only they had provided training in high school for these simple (but not so simple) tasks - practical life skills that actually come in useful one day!!
So what do you get up to on a Saturday night? Stubborn fucker that I am, couldn’t cope with the dripping tap keeping me up anymore. Could be that I’m a stubborn Taurean, or perhaps #onlyasurvivor knows this feeling. Got it all out, but will the ending be as #satisfying …? 🤷
Blessed to have just experienced an incredible exhibition @HOME_mcr ‘Playing With Fire’ and meet some wonderful artists with lived experience of sex work. @Len_Grant I salute you and all involved. Go see it.
Just been to @BuxtonOpHouse to see @paulkerryson Evita, fully cast with members of the community and an orchestra.
It’s very rare I come out of the theatre these days, filled with wonderment, reminiscent of the very reason why I fell in love with theatre in the first place.
Thank you so much for this recognition. I don’t do what I do to be recognised, but I’m full of gratitude to @GMancunians for the honour.
I’m also delighted that my charity @I4YPC continues as an official employability partner with the brilliant @TheMcrCollege
Thank you 🙏 🤩
🤩 🥰 congratulations to our Founder/CEO @mickydacks for being nominated @GMancunians
What an immense honour! We’re so proud and can’t wait for the exhibition!
Also congratulations to the brilliant young photographer Warren Eyles from @TheMcrColIege

This was a truly magnificent discussion with brilliant people who really believe that the voices of male victims should be heard.
A regional and national strategy for male victims of violence is vital, and I’m talking from personal experience as well as on behalf of young people
Such an honour for our CEO @mickydacks to be invited to contribute to this vital strategy around issues affecting the majority of young males who access our provision.
We salute @MrMadrigalOBE who campaigns tirelessly for males to to be recognised as victims in their own gender
And I get that some will argue that referring to pupils as gifted and talented may make other pupils ‘feel’ inferior, but that’s where peer mentoring programmes and alternative vocational routes should come into play, making sure that ALL pupils can feel gifted and talented!
Today I learned from a young person that he’s been branded in school as having ‘Broader Depth’.
WTAF. Can we no longer say that a child’s gifted and talented and make sure we nurture those gifts and talents, whilst also promoting positive peer role modelling?

@NickyRasTanura Thank you.
I’m delighted that this monument has touched so many people and is helping raise awareness of the tragic loss of a young life through unnecessary violence.
It’s time the world woke up to the issue and our children are supported more to lead happy and carefree lives
To receive the blessing of Jessie’s family was the biggest blessing of all.
To personally receive acknowledgment and praise from HRH Prince William for my charitable work, I can’t quite process that yet!
Young people are always at my heart and I’ll never stop championing them.
Our Founder/CEO @mickydacks had the honour of meeting @kensingtonroyal HRH Prince William during his visit to @msmpowerhouse
The prince was full of humanity and praise for Jessie’s Wall, and congratulated Micky on his work bringing the project together.
