Stranger Things was always The Goonies in a Stephen King story through the lens of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign run by a group of kids.

Some people had a very strange idea of how the series was going to play out. Even with them in high school, it was never going to turn into a hard-R-rated Game of Thrones thing with a massive body count and a downer ending.

The way it ended stayed true to what it always was, mysteries were actually explained (looking at you, Lost), and for that it was the perfect ending. #StrangersThings5
