Congrats to Ollie, who recently completed training. He had housebreaking issues + a tendency to nip + growl at members of the family + visitors. Now Ollie’s behaviors are under control + he's feeling much more relaxed + secure + the family are also enjoying him a lot more too.
Young Rottweiler Hooper is practicing obedience skills he’s learned at home in outdoor environments now. We’ve been working w/ him since he was 13 wks old + enrolled in the Puppy Plus Program, which helps to transition puppies into early adolescence, to strengthen adaptability.
Congratulations to Oliver who recently finished training. His owners completed the Puppy Plus Program where training begins in the early puppy phase + continues into early adolescence. We began all aspects of his obedience training indoors at home, even leash walking.
Aries practicing self-control on his 1st day of training. Newly adopted, his new owners called for help w/ general obedience, over-arousal + inappropriate approaches to visitors, along with counter-surfing, + in particular his aggressive reactivity towards other dogs outside.
Oliver began training at 13 wks. He’s been practicing at home + now at 6 mos is transferring what he's learned to different outside locations + doing really well. Obedience + a well socialized dog goes a long way in making a well mannered + respectful dog for years to come.
Congratulations to Ginger and her owner, who recently finished training. Training involves lots of repetition and practice, which helps them understand what is expected of them and keeps them from developing bad habits.
Congratulations to Lily and her owners, two busy medical professionals, who rose to the challenge of stepping up to ensure Lily got the training, attention and structure needed to be a happy, secure and well mannered young companion.
Alfie's owners couldn’t get him to walk more than a few feet from their home, he was wary of everything. On his final lesson, it was as though he was a different dog. What really changed was the relationship between the owners + Alfie, so they can now enjoy long walks together.
Ollie wasn't fully housebroken, had a tendency to nip + growl @ some family members + would bark, growl + act aggressively @ visitors. Introducing leadership, lots of structure, rules + boundaries helped w/ housebreaking + eliminated him feeling a need to control his environment.
Skye's easily aroused/excitable + lacks good self-control. She relentlessly jumps on her new owners + outside arousal kicks in at the sight of squirrels + other dogs making walks very precarious. The goal is for her to make better + safer choices in response to all distractions.
Mia's owners were seeking advice about some of her triggers they didn’t feel they could resolve on their own. She'll often lunge, bark + snap at dogs + w/ some people resort to nipping + herding e.g. runners, bikes etc. Training helps that + Mia's thriving w/ the new structure!
4 month Goldendoodle Ginger. Her owner has never had a dog before + was seeking help w/ training. Living in a high-rise building presents challenges, especially for housebreaking. But aside from getting outside, a consistent routine schedule for eliminating quickly resolved that.
13 wk old Labradoodle, Oliver. His owners are busy medical professionals, never had a dog before. Seeking help in transitioning him from puppyhood into adolescence. He's already showing lots of progress + how to look to them for direction + practicing being calm and relaxed.
This is 5 month old Lilly on her 1st day training. Her owners have never had a dog as adults before and were seeking help with corralling Lilly’s unbridled energies into more malleable and responsive behaviors. She’s a very quick study and showed lots of promise from the get-go!
Ellie gets nervous near loud vehicles + pulls towards them on walks. She also gets startled when mountain bikers ride by them on hikes + has lunged + recently bit a rider. We're working on providing more guidance + helping her be secure + not feel she always needs to be on guard.
Alfie on his 1st day of training. His owners sought help w/ basic obedience + w/ his reluctance to walk on a leash + reactivity to dogs. He’s doing well w/ obedience especially indoors + went for a nice longer walk outside on a recent lesson, so things are progressing nicely.
