@NWSDesMoines My neighbor had a frnt porch chair cushion blown into my bk yard, a hanging plant that was thrown off its hook onto the grnd. Had 5 very tall & hvy flwr pots blown over.
My wx stn on my back deck only recorded a 14 mph max gust overnight.
Any poss wx explanation?

@NWSDesMoines Pots are abt 4’ high, full of dirt, sitting on the grnd, prob weigh 50-75 lbs each. Pot 9’ abv porch.
My wx stn reports the highest gust of each 5 min period. My anemometer is 20’ abv grnd.
Am I not get correct reports that way? Van Pro 2. Opn to suggestions.
