@gould_peter Such a good question. Using these types of questions would be great for helping kids who try to solve multiplication problems by using a larger friendlier number but then get confused about which number they need to subtract.
@robertkaplinsky I just need to know if 1/4 plus 1/7 is smaller than 2/5. Then I’ll know how much would be needed to have a whole. I also wonder if the pieces are from the same sized bar.
@SteveWyborney@ddmeyer Depends on creation process. They don’t always show the thought process. For example how do you decide that 2 is a prime number? Why isn’t 1 a prime number? Do you have to accept what’s on the chart?
