Please love yourself. No matter how much love someone pours into you, it can never replace the love you owe yourself. Love yourself properly, deeply and without conditions. Everything else flows from that. 🤍
Today is Day 18… the abducted Oyo school children and teachers are still in captivity. Let’s not forget that on the same day, dozens of children including toddlers were also abducted in Borno state.
Mercy is when you can't even explain how you're surviving, but you are. You don't have it all figured out, but each day, God sends help right when you need it. Hallelujah.
My unpopular opinion is that Nigeria needs to stop! We need to pause and acknowledge the trauma we are living through. Unions need to go on strike. Everyone needs to take a week long moment of silence. Going on like nothing is happening, is inhumane and insane. Phew!
When we get the revolution we need and Nigeria starts moving in the right direction, we will need MANY young, brilliant, and righteous people to join the Police Force.
I picked up my contentment trait from my parents, and hopefully I pass it down to my kids. Once you’re content with what you have, your life can only get better.
My husband is genuinely one of the most balanced people I’ve ever met.
He’s one of the very few people I know who intentionally has a rich life outside of work. He serves God diligently, evangelizes often, plays badminton and tennis, does photography, reads books completely unrelated to his career at least five times a week, cooks, experiments with new recipes, bakes new things… honestly, I could keep going.
It’s something I deeply admire because so many people unintentionally let work become their entire identity.
He recently wrote an article about why people should build a life beyond just their professional careers, and I’m putting the link here and next tweet.
And yes, I’m commanding all of you to read it 🫵🏽🫵🏽😃

The tribalism I’m seeing now is the worst I’ve ever seen.
You’re not punishing any particular tribe by voting for incompetence.
Look around you. Are you happy with the way your life is?
When last did you do something for yourself without feeling guilty?
This isn’t Squid Game. Nobody is watching for entertainment.
This is your real life and it’s slipping.
We’re getting old with nothing to show for it.
Are you happy?
I hate how parenting takes so much from a person. The freedom, the sacrifice, the constant denying yourself of a lot of things. And the sad part is a lot of parents don't even realise their life doesn't have to stop just because they started a family.
