When someone points at Muslims sins

Allah says:

“O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”
Qur’an 39:53

If Muslims must become perfect before praying, then who would pray? Allah says, ‘Do not despair of the mercy of Allah’ (39:53). Salah isn’t for people who think they’re perfect; it’s for servants who know they need Allah.

Allah addresses this exact type of argument:

“Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps following.”
Qur’an 43:23

And Allah repeatedly criticizes blindly following ancestors.
