@ChipotleTweets One your restaurant’s POS system stopped working and we were instructed to pay on the website. I chose the wrong address and the $ went to a different location. I tried to call to cancel but was directed to an automated line. And the chat option doesn’t work.
And they just played “Hear You Me”, which they didn’t play at the show 20ish years ago. So as soon as we got back to the car, Nathan put it on, because he knew I really wanted to hear it. And I hope angels led him in.
Upwards of 20 years ago, one of my best friends @ntkingsley took me to see @jimmyeatworld at a club in Pittsburgh. We fell out of touch as life continued, and I learned he passed away earlier this year.
So tonight, as I watch @jimmyeatworld perform in Nashville, I’m trying to keep my shit together as I relive my first time seeing them, and how filled with life Nathan was. God, I miss him.
Also, we’re trying to help our son’s siblings’ mom with some car troubles. If you feel so inclined to donate or retweet, it would be much appreciated: https://t.co/PoQipf0xDJ
Many thanks to the neighbors who did fireworks a couple blocks over in alleviating my mom guilt for not taking my son to see the big show downtown. We sat on our front stoop during dusk and watched them, and it was perfect.
As Tina Turner’s “We Don’t Need Another Hero” played, the three of us danced around the room, jumped on furniture, played air guitar and drums. Forever one of my favorite core memories.
Over 30 years ago, my dad introduced me and my sister to Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. I’m sure I was swayed by my dad’s enthusiasm for the movie, but I thought it was a masterpiece. The credits rolled and we were jazzed.
So many thanks to @JamesGunn for contributing to a Mother’s Day core memory for my little fam as we saw #GotGVol3 last night. We thought it was such a sweet conclusion to an incredible series.
In 2006, I was living in Nashville for the summer, taking odd jobs through the kindness of friends and connections. One of which was helping at the Nashville Screenwriters Conference, where I met and got to know in some small capacity @jamesgunn.
He was beyond kind. He spent time hanging out with and getting to know “the help”. And recently, one of the more enjoyable parts of motherhood, has been introducing my son to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
@parohomes This is so devastating. I just found out about an old high school friend (who introduced me to all the best music) passed away due to chronic alcohol abuse. And he would make comments about how no one would notice if we died. People noticed and people are heartbroken.
“Look at those eyes … cuteness overload!” 🐶
@ChrisEvans is the sweetest dog dad. He adopted Dodger when he was working on a film in Savannah: "I rounded the corner and saw him and just knew right away."
NEW: "The world is watching Tennessee." Attorneys for @brotherjones_ and @Justinjpearson, including former AG Eric Holder, warn House Speaker @CSexton25 against interfering with their reappointments. Sexton's office says they have no such intentions. #TheTennesseeThree
Shame should not be on Tennessee. Shame should be on the 72 representatives who voted to expel @brotherjones_ and @Justinjpearson. The rest of Tennessee has potential.
Final thoughts today re: the #tennesseethree. As someone who lives in Tennessee and has no plans to leave anytime soon, it hurts my heart to see people saying “Shame on Tennessee” or “Never going to TN”. What happened today is not an accurate representation of everyone here.
I believe in the hope for our democracy that @Justinjpearson spoke of. And I’m sure many others do too. So many of the TN GOP representatives were elected unopposed. Alternative options are needed in those districts.
