This makes no sense. None. Minutes. Tick.Tick…….. release the cameras for every person at the scene. Everyone. Even 120 seconds is a very long time, a very long time when a tense situation plays out. And then there is the underlying indoctrination, sorry training, that now seems to define policing in the UK
The Pacific are our neighbours and friends. Close friends. The FM Winston Peters sorted this the Pacific Way. No embarrasment. No grandstanding. At home talks and respect. NZ and Pacific values at work. Some will say, it’s only the Cook Island. That is not the point. It is who NZ is and our values being upheld
@yapperlawson@FordRacing@supercars Not realistic. LL and team ahead of where they expected. Priority and gift of time thru Miami is getting the car balanced after planned enhancements. Folly can wait

@gtconway3d The Justice Gorsuch 4-point very precise response to the minority should guide Supreme Court constitutional lawyers for the next 3 years. The first domino had fallen: Magna Carta lives
@LawLitz@TimAdams76 There is nothing good in your cynicism, just a reflection of the ingrained nihilism in the US today. Appreciate talent, great coaching and nurturing mate. Enjoy the positivity Sam can bring to athletics.
@StephenM Hey mate, I know fact not your strong suit but, the atom was only harvested after being split by Ernest Rutherford at New Zealander and father of nuclear physics, and bro the Pearce brothers down here most probably flew before the heroic Wright bro. Ah yes, Oppenheimer, Einstein
BREAKING: Epstein survivor DEMOLISHES Trump with six words after his Christmas social media meltdown.
Donald Trump tried to turn Christmas Day into yet another all-caps grievance parade — and ended up getting absolutely flattened by a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse with just six words.
In one of an avalanche of rambling holiday Truth Social posts, Trump bizarrely wished “Merry Christmas” to what he called “sleazebags” connected to Epstein, accusing unnamed elites of partying on Epstein’s island, funding his crimes, and then — somehow — blaming Trump for it all. As usual, Trump crowned himself the lone hero, claiming he was “actually the only one who did drop Epstein,” before lashing out at Democrats, the “Radical Left,” and even tossing in a stray insult at Rep. Thomas Massie for good measure.
It was classic Trump: deflection, self-praise, conspiracy theories, and zero acknowledgment of victims — all wrapped up in a Christmas bow.
But Marijke Chartouni, an Epstein survivor, didn’t need a manifesto to respond.
“Every accusation is a confession. Cheers,” she wrote, punctuating it with a champagne-glass emoji.
Six words. Game over.
Chartouni, who has said Epstein sexually abused her when she was 20 years old, cut through Trump’s performative outrage with brutal clarity. While Trump was busy rewriting history and pointing fingers, a survivor reminded the world of a truth Trump desperately tries to avoid: when powerful men rant about shadowy conspiracies and “witch hunts,” they’re often telling on themselves.
Trump’s post was less about justice and more about ego — an attempt to distance himself from Epstein while weaponizing the trauma of survivors to score political points. Chartouni’s reply, meanwhile, did what Trump never does: centered reality.
No self-pity. No shouting. No lies. Just a devastating reminder that survivors see through the noise — and they’re done being props in Trump’s endless victimhood cosplay.
Merry Christmas indeed.
