I told my boyfriend that I felt like I was doing all the chores around the flat and the first thing he did was say, "Thank you for telling me." Then he went into the kitchen and did the dishes, and started cooking dinner. The next day he had to leave early and he shouted behind him, "If you see a mess, don't clean it up!" What a stand-up dude. No confrontation, no anger, no denial. Just, "Okay, and let's do better from here on out."
