Samuel L. Jackson has long said his favorite movie he’s starred in is the 1996 action-thriller 'The Long Kiss Goodnight.' Turns out his co-star Geena Davis feels likewise.
“It’s my favorite too,” Davis tells Deadline. “I’m supposed to say Thelma & Louise because that movie is irreplaceable, but I have to say, I had so much fun with Sam and we’ve always wished that we could do a sequel”

If you’ve watched “I love Boosters,” can I recommend watching “They Cloned Tyrone” today cause that movie was severely overlooked. I love when Black filmmakers get to think outside of the box like this.
‘Is God Is’ debuted with a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 93 reviews.
The film has also earned the Critics Choice Association’s Seal of Distinction for Film.

‘IS GOD IS’ director Aleshea Harris discusses the themes behind the film:
“I know the rules for being a Black woman and a Black girl, which is that the dictates of respectability are that you have to conduct yourself in a certain way, you have to hold things down, and you shouldn't show your anger. And I think that that's dehumanizing, which is part of the reason that I allowed these women the full measure of their humanity. Allowed them to get messy, allowed them their rage, which for me was restorative and healing, to say, 'No, actually, you have reasons to be angry, and you can express that anger. It's a perfectly human emotion.' So I knew that that line was there, and I was intentionally stepping over it.”
