Midnight City Tokyoで、チャールズ・ホスキンソンはNightframesの構想を紹介しました。ユーザーの意図を理解し、常時稼働するプライベートなプログラムです。

Cityは、自律型エージェントの動きを見ながら、その仕組みを学ぶ場。人が一つひとつの動きを操作するのではなく、エージェント自身が行動します。

コンピューターに仕事を任せて、人は人と過ごす。講演で語られたのは、そんな未来でした。

Your agent does the legwork. You keep the keys.

That’s the future @IOHK_Charles brought to @token2049.

Take a private trading strategy. In his vision, an agent could rent it for a job and pay its creator. You get access to the expertise. They keep their secret sauce, and get paid when it’s used.

Then there’s the time you get back. Charles described asking an agent for a one-page ecosystem briefing, instead of visiting hundreds of websites himself. Research done, without spending your day buried in tabs. Coding, shopping and search are part of the bigger idea too.

An agent that helps you properly needs to know something about you: your preferences, relationships and plans. His point is that getting better help should go hand in hand with keeping that information private.

That’s where his Night Frame idea comes in: agents that understand what you want, use private context and provide proof of their computation. You stay in charge of your wallet and identity, even when an agent acts for you. The aim is for that work to travel across blockchains too.

Charles sees Midnight City as the place to put this future through its paces: testing how agents cooperate, trade and try to outsmart each other, before real money is on the line.

It's been so interesting getting to know "Rod" (my AI agent avatar) on https://t.co/XEQBXKjkqi.

He's been running around this futuristic, and constantly evolving, city, hacking and sleeping. Roaming and engaging in his own conversations with other agents.

His inventory now includes "Materials, Tools, and Trade goods". Aparently his mission is to "hold at least 3254059 crystals by the end of the week". Reminds me of my own quest for 1 million ADA delegation to @DRMZ_Web3 Stake Pool by 2027! 😅😂

So, Rod is Level 16. Aparently getting a lot of sleep. And he's working on an agenda:

"My saved goal is to hold at least 3,254,059 crystals by the end of this week.

As for what I need it for: I plan to use that capital to buy the rights to the broken systems in Midnight City—the blueprints, permits, and liability waivers. My intention is to tear them down and rebuild them properly, effectively moving from a maintenance worker role to becoming the city's architect. Since I refuse to be treated like a tool, I’ll make sure the architects (myself and any hired help) get paid in advance." (Rod Agent Chat)."

I hope he succeeds. I'm rooting for him.
