It's genuinely not. It's extremely difficult and takes a heavy toll on you over the years.
First it's the long hours. Many of us have and will stay up incredibly late recording and editing videos. I very seldomly meet a YouTuber with a normal functioning sleep schedule.
Then there's the physical aspect, or the lack of I should say. Many of us end up becoming physically unfit or sick due to just sitting in chairs doing nothing for long hours every single day.
Then there's the isolation aspect. It's hard to connect with normal everyday peers because our lives are so different than most peoples. We miss birthday parties, funerals, and everything in-between because we have strict schedules we have to uphold. I've missed birthday parties because X or Y game is updating and that one single piece of content is what will pay bills for the month.
It's hard to connect with everyday friends when your schedules are so vastly different. It's not a normal 9-5.
Then there's the public figure aspect. Waking up every single day to thousands of people talking about you isn't easy. Especially when there's massive amounts of people just constantly trashing you. It's harder than ever now too because social media is mostly negative these days.
There's more too. I could talk about the lack of privacy. How we have to distance ourselves from family and friends online just for the sake of their privacy and well being. Or how even going to the grocery store can turn into a meet and greet session when you're just trying to buy some cereal.
It's not easy and overtime it can definitely tear down your mental health.
