Wow that was a busy week. 9 jobs in total and due to several requests at the same time we're grateful to Tim and Barney for helping out on their week off
Today Barney and Ginny were at Derby university helping out with sample testing. We had a surprise visit from @WMFSFireDog Giddy who we can report is recovering well
We're saddened to hear of the loss of one of our friends this week. When you work together for so long the loss is felt deeply. The thoughts of everyone @MidsDog are with Nikki and her family
Today we pay tribute to fire investigation dog Reqs, following his passing yesterday.
Reqs, who retired in July 2023, was believed to have been one of Britain’s longest serving fire investigation dogs and is remembered as a dedicated and hard-working member of the team. 1/🧵
Last week we were working at height. This week Ginny and Barney have been practicing their boat skills. Special thanks to @nottsfire Highfields station for allowing us to join their training session.
Happy 3⃣ Birthday to one of our Fire Investigation dogs, Barney 🐾
Our FI dogs have collectively attended nearly 350 incidents, and have helped secure 117 years’ worth of custodial sentences🔥
And you might've seen him at Stapleford’s Open Day yesterday👀
@MidsDog
