It has also been a privilege to support the training of our new FI dog and handler, Annette and Holly. A fantastic new team who will continue to build the FI dog team and support all who need it. Good fortune and adventures both. X
I shall always be proud of my time with you all and the person it has helped me become.
A fond goodbye and whoof for now...
Alex and Giddy. X
(Probably some pictures to follow)
A huge thank you, loads of appreciation and a big hug to all who have supported and helped me on my journey over the years.
I now have the freedom and time to share with my family, Giddy and friends.
Additionally, the last few years fulfilling my ambition with the amazing Fire Investigation team, and becoming the new Fire Investigation Dog Team with my FI partner and adopted family member 'Giddy'.
I will wholeheartedly say how proud I am to have served as a firefighter and for the West Midlands Fire Service. I have met amazing individuals and made lifelong friends both within the service and further afield.
It is with heavy hearts that Giddy and I bid you all a fond farewell. I have served for more than 30 years with the West Midlands Fire Service and it is now time for us to experience new adventures.
Sorry long time since we last posted. Giddy broke her elbow but is now making a full recovery. Finally stopped feeling sorry for herself and almost back to zoomy fitness...
Why not come along to Perry Barr Fire Station Open Day on Saturday 9th, a great family day out and meet Giddy. Hope to see you there. @WestMidsFire@WMFSPerryBarr
Great day of training and some research with @derbyuni Forensic Sciences, @eastmidsdog and @westmidsfire. Great teams and collaborative work, thanks to Derby Uni for letting us use their site.
Great few days for Giddy, research with @DerbyUni Forensic Sciences and even got to see a GCMS test, Giddy not so interested. Also, training with @WarksPoliceDogs and a fantastic open day at @WMFSWardEnd. Thanks to all, even time for a cool off...
