I don’t think I’m alone in this, the happiness I saw after the first First Time episode or that photoshoot was lovely. If someone else’s successes weigh so heavily on you that you’re will to wish for her injury or death, you should reconsider why you’re a fan in the first place.
Honestly, if you’re totally confident in what you believe-that your girl is the most popular in the group, in the country etc, why would it matter what other people say? Live happily with your beliefs. The fact that subfandom feels constantly threatens suggests that they aren’t.
But in the end, that’s not what matters to me. What matters is that IRENE get chances to develop in her career+as an individual. At the end of the day, we support artists b/c we like their qualities and enjoy their work. If she had what her colleagues did, I’d be very content.
It’s just funny when members of that subfandom like to insinuate baetokkis start problems when they’re the ones who made a community just to hate on IRENE and when the recent slew of arguments happened b/c an account masquerading as OT5, who was in that community, shaded BJH.
Arguments using DP are odd bc ppl get it was a low budget indie film, right? That SM put no effort in promoting + Irene herself attended only 2 promotional events ? And it was during the start of covid? It’s genuinely not a cope to say things were fine given the circumstances.
Double Patty is an indie film, not a mainstream production, and was subsequently not marketed for mass appeal. Still, it did well sales wise for its category, the random book attached to it was a best seller, and it made it to international film festivals. Not a bad haul 😁
@irene_theonly Just speaking generally about how normal professionals, even ones who are outspoken about mistreatment/abuse, would respond to such a situation. The way she responded was not a normal way to handle things.
Some Kpop fans have this weird lens that magnifies marginal errors into mortal flaws. I promise you, if you tell a reasonably successful adult about a celebrity who hurt the feelings of a stylist, apologized, and had 60+ people defend her, they’d be shocked it’s even an issue.
Life is nuanced. People, situations, and dynamics are complex. I hope the people who are so keen to attack others will not become subject to the same black+white thinking themselves. Nonetheless, those who care about the stylist should follow her request to close the topic.
60+ staff members wrote messages of support for BJH, attesting to her generosity, collegiality, and good character. In all the scandals that occurred before+after, this has never happened before. Only ignorant people will ignore this to make baseless generalizations/smear her.
so aside from the group cb irene this year has had: 2 days of special djing, her birthday content, just a few ig posts and bubble updates and yet she’s the most searched amongst the group in naver (and google) so far this year 🫣🤔
