Great excitement today on the Mayo Wetlands Field Survey '24 when Adam Vanmechelen & Joe O’Sullivan were paid a visit by a pair of Red-necked Phalarope (Red listed in Ireland) during survey of large blanket bog in SW Mayo. The birds were not shy & came right up to survey team.
Mieke Vanmechelen sees huge possibilities if land around Dublin Port is repurposed for high-density living, cultural spaces like the Tate Modern and small-scale agriculture.
