@adrianbb89 Du bist ja neuerdings auch Trevor Lawrence Hater!!!1! 😡 Dass ich den Tag noch erlebe, wo Christoph ihn über dir rankt, wild.. 😂 musste sehr schmunzeln 😋
And as far as Travis Hunter is concerned, we do not care what the outside world thinks. He was the best player in the draft and we moved up 3 spots to get him. So all you naysayers out there can take our 13 wins and shove 'em up your little candy asses! LFG.
@hawkandlock@campbell1984198@KendraMiddleton Circumstances matter, buddy. Lawrence is the better QB. The Texans won the playoff games DESPITE having CJ Fraud as the starting QB, but not BECAUSE of CJ Fraud. 🤷🏼♂️
@campbell1984198@KendraMiddleton The funniest part: our QB got hit by your dirty player, but ever since that moment, your QB has been playing like he took that hit to the head -> CJ Fraud 😂
Buckle up and let’s clear some stuff up
The Jags drafted Tuten (their future lead back) last year and planned on elevating him from a complimentary role to a more feature role in year 2
They went out and got Chris Rodriguez who is a great cheap stylistic pairing with Tuten and Allen
Year 2 for many in the McVay system is known as the “catapult year” where the offense hits a new level and establishes itself as a dominate mainstay
We started to see this last year as no offense was better in the 2nd half of the season then the Jaguars which is a big reason why we saw Trevor Lawrence as an MVP finalist and Liam Coen as a COTY finalist
The Jags were then able to retain both coordinators who were both finalists for HC jobs
Kept their CB2 (who statistically was a top 10 zone corner last year) on a team friendly deal
Re-signed multiple players that started multiple games for them
They get back their superstar CB AND starting safety who was drafted to start + was lighting up the offseason process before season ending injury
They had limited cap space to work with because of multiple Baalke “masterclasses”
Pair this with playing the comp pick game and it should be a surprise to nobody that they had a quieter FA
It was never realistic for them to pay Lloyd AND/OR ETN top 5 money at their position with the cap the way that it was this year
Especially because they were not guys they brought in and developed
Knowing this is why replacement plans were/are already in order
Obviously losing ETN and Lloyd are losses but not losses that are determinantal to the team especially with the roster in the shape that it is.
A roster that will only get better as they have 10 total draft picks in April including 4 picks in the top 100
Which bodes perfectly for GM James Gladstones draft and develop model…a model that he had an incredible amount of success operating as director of scouting for the Rams
To bring up last season…The Jaguars had a very strong case as the best team in the AFC last season even after losing in round 1 to the best player in the playoffs
All this to say it is not crazy AT ALL to have the Jaguars top 5 in power rankings going into next season
Thanks for coming to my TED talk
@Calle_Jon11@joelvmoran Your "horrendous Take" is the one you just gave. Lawrence had 300 total yards and 4 touchdowns against the Broncos defense in Denver. Think before you speak. 💀
AFC teams that would’ve put up a better fight in the Super Bowl:
- Broncos with a healthy Bo Nix
- Bills
- Jaguars
Patriots had the easiest path facing three inept offenses. There’s a real argument they weren’t even a top 3 team in the AFC.
