The next szn will turn out to be a huge mess if small important changes aren't made
- Get a new GK( for the love of God.)
- A new Left footed CB. Relying only on Inigo is a huge blunder. Personally I believe his purple patch is over and he will be more error prone next szn.
He went for 21 mill, I repeat 21 million, when he was brought by City. Barca should have been on the forefront of that deal back then rather fighting it out with Laliga sides now. But then Barcelona rarely has good scouting and that's the case now too.
This week's post for @TheTransferFlow is on how absurdly good Lamine Yamal already is. I wrote about:
- Yamal's linear progression
- One of the most dangerous on-ball threats
- How winning the WC as a teenager could put him in rarified air historically

As part of our buildup to the 2026 World Cup, we are publishing excerpted chapters from The Soccer 100, @TheAthleticFC's definitive book on the 100 greatest players of all time, courtesy of HarperCollins Publishers.
The 10 players we are featuring are the highest-ranked World Cup winners of our 100.
Today, in our final extract, we look at a player who lifted football’s most coveted trophy late in his career — but it was worth the wait.

@ACruishner Sadily I don't think we have the proper scouting or the money after deals like Julian to properly improve our depth. Players like Pedri will be overused again next season.
Anthony Gordon es un fichaje pensando en la Champions League y lo que esta competición demanda: Capacidad condicional, agresividad y poder repetir esfuerzos. Si se le pone en ventaja, ojo.
Es ahí donde el Barça se queda corto.

@kevvwill and another thing is Barca cannot getaway with fouls like PSG did or do. After the recent years and red cards I believe players will be afraid to get into duels fearing a 🟥. Barca system has space in behind our defensive lines and Barca are still incapable of dealing with it.

It's not a surprise Psg went back to back. They've the flexibility to skip league games and keep their players fresh for ucl games. I want to see one serious challenger in ligue 1. It's not a surprise that Psg went back to back. Aside from being a top team, they can do what no other elite team can do. They can bench their main core in half of the league games.
Look at this challenge from any angle. Mendes comes across Madueke's body and brings him down.
Clear penalty for Arsenal but Daniel Siebert decides against giving it.
And to add to this, PSG did not play most of their stars in the league also. PSG are the only team that can do that in europe and save their players for UCL.
PSG pushed back games in the league multiple times to achieve this where as others (any team from a serious league) couldn’t. I’m not surprised they won UCL but they certainly didn’t look as sharp as they usually do this match
Arsenal played better than expected. But it’s Arsenal
