Emergency crews have been working at the sites of Russian strikes since overnight. It was a massive attack – the Russians had been preparing for a long time, combining different types of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, aiming to cause as much damage as possible to civilian infrastructure. There is destruction in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Odesa and Chernihiv regions.
In the capital, residential buildings were damaged, including a high-rise whose upper floors were destroyed, as well as a children’s hospital and a school. Emergency response and rescue operations are ongoing. As of now, we know that this Russian strike has claimed the lives of 12 people in Kyiv, with one person killed in the region. My condolences to all the families and loved ones. Around 40 more people were injured. In the Odesa region, the enemy carried out a drone attack on a border crossing with Moldova; in the Chernihiv region, it targeted gas infrastructure. I thank all the rescuers, medics, police officers, and utility workers who have been helping people from the first moments.
Unfortunately, while Moscow is investing in ballistic missiles and escalation, such strikes do not always receive the response they should from the world. And as long as Ukraine does not have enough anti-ballistic defense, Russia will not consider peace seriously. We are doing everything to ensure we have that protection, and work on the FREYJA program continues every day. But Patriot interceptors cannot yet be replaced, and we need them every day. Every additional missile saves the lives of our people. I thank everyone who understands this and is looking for and finding ways to help.

BREAKING:
Greek police just arrested a 26-y-old Afghan asylum seeker for the murder of the 38-y-old Scottish woman Elisabeth-Jane Ross.
He murdered her because he thought she was attempting to convert his girlfriend to Christianity.
Elisabeth-Jane worked for a Christian NGO aiding refugees in Athens.
On July 18th, a homeless man noticed a foul odor coming from a derelict building in Athens.
Inside, he discovered Lisa's body wrapped in cloth and stuffed inside a suitcase.
🔴This is ABSOLUTE BRAVERY 🔥
🇺🇸Governor Tim Walz — "We are sick of this. A weak, reckless, Idiotic president just threw us into a war nobody asked for. No threat existed. No objectives were set. No exit plan exists. This is pure fascism."
What a COURAGE 🔥 👏

Volodymyr Zelensky showed the bunker from which he operated during the first days of the war
According to Zelensky, it was in this bunker that he received a call from Washington during the first days of the invasion, in which President Biden warned of the threat of Kyiv falling and urged him to evacuate.
Zelensky replied, “I need weapons, not a ride.”
The video also shows signs reading “Office of the President of Ukraine” and “Cabinet of Ministers” inside the bunker.
“Much of what happened at the start was done right here. We’ve never shown this location before,” Zelensky said, referring to February 2022.
The footage also captures Zelensky’s office, where he conducted phone calls with other world leaders at the beginning of the conflict.
He added that during the early days, “there were hundreds of people in this bunker.”
Zelensky is not a pawn of imperialisms. He fights for his people and his soil. Thanks for 60 Minutes to remember this man's face and this man's struggle.
The temporary suspension of U.S. tariffs for 90 days is both a signal and an opening for negotiation.
Yet this pause remains fragile.
Fragile, because the 25% duties on steel, aluminum and automobiles, as well as the 10% tariffs on other products, are still in place. They amount to €52 billion in duties on the European Union.
Fragile, because 90 days of pause means 90 days of uncertainty for our businesses, on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.
Alongside the European Commission and in full unity, our goal is clear: to negotiate the removal of these unfair tariffs and reach a balanced agreement without asymmetry.
We must remain strong. Europe must keep working on all necessary countermeasures and mobilize every available tool to protect itself, including against redirected flows from third countries that risk destabilising our market.
France is ready. Europe must be too. Let us stay clear-eyed, united, and determined to defend our interests.
Yesterday, I once again met with entrepreneurs and industrial leaders who are deeply concerned. These American tariffs strike at the core of their businesses. We are right to stand our ground — jobs and the future of our regions are at stake.
Together with our European partners, we will do everything to protect our companies and industries, to uphold our economic sovereignty, and to secure the future of our jobs.

Geosil.😄
Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians. I am proud of Ukraine! I thank everyone who defends and supports it. Everyone who works for Ukraine. And may the memory of all those who gave their lives for our state and people be eternal. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

I am incandescent with rage right now. I feel sick to the stomach. A US Vice President stood today on the soil of where so many Americans gave their lives to defeat fascism in Europe. He delivered a disgraceful speech that spat on their graves. Not that we should expect any different, given his boss skipped visiting the graves of fallen Americans in Europe for fear of getting his hair wet. The same man who called the same fallen heroes suckers and losers.
As a Brit that loves America and the American people, I am deeply disturbed at the insults delivered by a man who once described Donald Trump as an “idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, comparing him to Adolf Hitler.
How times have changed. Vance is now part of the most authoritarian administration in American history. An administration actively seeking to deny bodily autonomy to women. An administration pursuing the same mass deportation of immigrants that Europe witnessed in 1930s Germany. Vance is a man that his own president doesn’t even see as his successor.
He came to Europe to vomit his Christo-fascist bile on leaders from the UK and across Europe, in what appears to be a retribution tour designed to assert American power.
The U.S. are to my knowledge the only NATO country to have invoked Article 5 of the NATO charter after 9/11. We, his European allies, met that call with no questions asked. We sent thousands of soldiers to the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq to fight a war on the false premise of Donald Rumsfeld’s ‘known unknowns’. We did this despite millions of our own citizens protesting in the streets of our cities.
Our military stood shoulder to shoulder with his military and we, like many Americans, stood to salute our fallen young men and women returning home day after day. I have tears in my eyes as I write this, thinking of them and their loved ones. Our brave men and women willingly gave their all and far too many made the ultimate sacrifice in support of an American led war.
For the record, 6000 Ukrainian solders server alongside American soldiers in Iraq. This, despite Ukraine not being a member of NATO. In 1994 upon signing the Budapest Memorandum they gave up their nuclear weapons in return for security assurances from the US and the UK. These were then reneged upon in 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea. They were told ‘An assurance is not a guarantee’.
Now, despite their friendship and their brave sacrifice on the battlefields of Ukraine, the President of the United States has decided to abandon them and hand a victory to an indicted war criminal, who illegally invaded the sovereign territory of a US ally. An ally who’s soldiers had previously lost their lives supporting America in its war on terror.
SHAME ON HIM. Shame on the man who dodged the draft and never served a day in defense of his nation. He is a coward and I would gladly call him that to his face. To all those Americans on social media currently posting vile insults to those who have always been there for America, I say, democracy is bigger than you, as you sit anonymously behind your phones posting poison.
America might have the most powerful army on the planet, but remember, that same army fled from Saigon after being handed their ass by a bunch of peasant rice farmers, armed with grenades made from discarded US coke cans. Ukraine have been to the Russian army what the Vietnamese were to you and we salute them.
You might want to throw Ukraine under the bus while stealing there mineral deposits, BUT EUROPE WILL NOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN. I know for sure that the UK will not abandon the Ukrainian people. Our aid to GDP contribution already exceeds that of the US as does Poland, Germany Finland and others.
The U.S. is no longer a reliable ally and if need be, we will stand with Ukraine without America.
As for your pathetic tariffs, do your worst. You will soon have no friends but thugs and autocrats, so I’m sure Wun Dum Fuc will be right at home.
Today, I address all those who value Ukraine, cherish their state, and lovingly call it “Mine.” Those who cannot imagine themselves without Ukraine, no matter where they are. All those who have been fighting for it – so steadfastly and so bravely – for more than 1,000 days.
This is you – our people. Ukrainians – men and women. To all of whom I am grateful to for this year, 2024. Our people who endure all difficulties with dignity. People for whom being citizens of Ukraine is a source of pride.
For me, it is an honor to be the President of such people – Ukrainians who prove that no cruise missile can defeat a nation that has wings.
‼️ The Ukrainian city of Dnipro became the first city in human history to be struck by an intercontinental ballistic missile. It is a historic turning point. An intercontinental ballistic missile used not on a firing range, but against a city of a million people.
