Mexican actress Lyn May once trusted a woman who promised to make her more beautiful.

Instead, she ruined her face for life.

The woman injected Lyn’s cheeks with what she said was collagen. It was actually cooking oil and baby oil.

At first, nothing seemed wrong. Then, over time, hard lumps began to form under her skin. Her face slowly changed shape, and it never went back.

Lyn spent years on operating tables having the lumps removed. But every surgery left another scar, and the damage could not be undone.

She was so devastated that she considered ending her life.

Decades later, she says doctors have still not been able to remove all the oil from her face.
