@HunterBiden I reinstalled and signed into this godforsaken app for the first time in three years (!?!) solely to witness the Hunter Biden Show. I hear you’re stirring shit up, and I’m here for it. (Also, congrats on 7 years!)
I have learned that EMS use a color codes for victims. Based on what I heard via the scanner, four are confirmed dead.
Listening to this unfold was horrific. But kudos to the LVPD and their dispatchers for handling it with such professionalism and grace.
Vegas shooting. Listening to Police scanner. The facts so far:
One critical. One non critical.
Shooter dead but potentially another shooter. “Light skinned male with duffel bag and hand gun.”
Cops still searching floors for possible victims.
#LasVegas#unlv#shooting
There aren’t “multiple deaths” confirmed. This is blatantly false info.
Lots of locked doors. They’re searching for people, both potential victims and people who have likely shit their pants due to fear, sitting and waiting for help.
@palinode Perhaps I’m looking at it in the present tense where as we become more and more open to trans gender individuals, they are realizing it later in life (our fault as a society for not being open earlier on) and trans after developing as their assigned gender. Does that make sense?
@tobyjoe There was a time on the internet, for example, where, if say I admitted my feelings about trans women being allowed to join women’s sports’ teams, I’d have not been called names or told to kill myself. Now? People fear any sort of backlash and discourse is dead.
Remember when you could disagree with people online and not face terrible consequences, get called horrific names, be told to STFU—etc? Remember when voicing an opinion, even an unpopular one, didn’t mean losing friendships or creating an irreparable schism? I miss it.
@jessicamccoy But I do agree: so long as people can remain anonymous, it’s going to continue this way. I also have to wonder if it’s gotten worse because we’re getting further and further away from people who grew up without the internet and social media. Not sure if that makes sense?
@jessicamccoy I’m disappointed that much of the time, if one should voice one’s opinion over a potentially hot topic, instead of a heated “dinner party” discussion, it often turns into name-calling. People look more for likes and retweets and how they look over having an adult conversation.
