New law to impulse long dramas

Recap:
1. Require content innovation

2. Open policy for distribution license

3. Remove the limit of 40 episodes; For seasonal dramas, one-year interval limit has been removed

4. Remove the limits of adaptations of novels from other countries

5. No restriction on the number of costume dramas broadcast each year

6. Encourage broadcast on both online & TV channels, and broadcast on multiple platforms; Encourage multiple main lead drama.

7. Each episode of key dramas must not be inserted more than 30s of advertising

8. Establish a mechanism for simultaneous review, shortening the review time for license

9. Allow review, post-production and broadcast at the same time

10. Reduce the review period for completed post-production drama. Face-to-face communication is allowed for special themes

11. For crime drama, The Ministry of Public Security needs to assist in the review historical figures, major cases, and foreign-related cases

12. Encourage film producers to proactively bring in experts for review in advance. Expert opinions will be included as an appendix for reviewers to refer to during the review process
