Okay friends, there were A LOT of Copilot-ey words dropped yesterday, so here is my extremely unofficial summary while I revamp the #FlyWithCopilot content!
🏠 HOME = Copilot Chat + Cowork finally move in together.
Chat for “help me with the thing.”
Cowork for “please DO The Thing.”
Plus Word, Excel + PowerPoint now live right there too. Yay roomies!
✈️ AUTOPILOT = Scout got a glow-up.
This is the autonomous-ish thing a posse of us have already been playing with: give it a role + goal and it keeps working even when you go do have a life.
💻 CODE = vibe coding for everybody.
Vaguely explain the app, dashboard, automation, etc. you want and Copilot builds it. Same underlying as GitHub Copilot, but you don’t have to identify as An AI Enginner or whatever to use it. This is for ALL builders!
🏃 COPILOT MANAGED RUNTIME = cool story bro, you vibe-coded an app…WHERE DOES IT LIVE THO?!
Here! Governed hosting for the stuff you build with Code, Cowork and Copilot Studio.
🧠 MICROSOFT IQ family of wisdom = the context underneath the magic.
Copilot understands your data, your company data and most importantly, what’s RELEVANT vs your emails from 2005.
☀️ TODAY = “what the heck happened while I was having a life?”
Mail + meetings + Teams + stuff + people yelling + actual suggested actions. Basically the morning briefing we need before the chaos goblin takes over your day!
👯 @COPILOT IN TEAMS = Copilot has entered the chat!
And importantly, it gets the shared context of the team instead of everybody having their own little AI thing. This is going to be AMAZING to for scheming meetings with your colleagues!
Our team will try out all of these and expect all kinds of fun content from us soooon.
What should we try first? 👇🏼
The new Copilot is Microsoft’s bet that the AI race is moving from models to products.
It doesn’t need to own the best model if Copilot can choose among them and keep the customer inside Microsoft.
The potential secret weapon is Autopilot (what I’ve been calling Muse for Business). It knows your workflows, sits across the apps and data you already use, and keeps working even when you step away.
It’s a preview of the battle to come in enterprise AI. OpenAI and Anthropic are racing from models into products. Can they build their own version of this? And can they match Microsoft on the boring-but-critical stuff: permissions, identity, auditability and control, as agents become more autonomous?
My full conversation with @satyanadella. We also talk open vs. closed models, US-China Summit, regulation and the infrastructure buildout.

Dear developers at work,
GitHub Copilot CLI is generally available with /plan, /plugin, /resume, /review, /yolo, /models, multi-model in single request autopilot, custom agents, experimental features, and much more.
Love,

We’ve operated in Europe for more than 40 years – and we have been and always will be a steadfast partner to Europe.
With Microsoft Sovereign Cloud, we’re committed to offering the most comprehensive set of sovereignty solutions for customers across Sovereign Public Cloud, Sovereign Private Cloud, and the National Partner Clouds operated by our European partners.
Today, we are announcing new offerings that bring digital sovereignty to all European organizations in the public cloud and unlock new ways to run private sovereign clouds too:
When it comes to the public cloud, we’re introducing Data Guardian, which ensures all remote access by our engineers to the systems that store and process customer data in Europe is approved and monitored by European resident personnel in real-time and logged in a tamper-evident ledger.
As well as External Key Management for customer-controlled encryption, providing an additional guarantee of data protection.
We’re also introducing Sovereign Private Cloud, which includes Microsoft 365 Local, which brings together our productivity server software into an Azure Local environment that can run entirely in a customer’s own datacenter, with full control on security, compliance and governance.
These new offerings build on decades of pioneering work in sovereign cloud solutions by ourselves and our partners, and reflect our ongoing commitment to giving you more choice, control, and security.

@Bjoern__M@ulrichspeck They probably feel a certain level of urgency in arming themselves? But this should in no way discourage Europe from rearming and rapidly building out our defense industries 🇪🇺
Fuckface is lying big time again.
The United States did not send $350B to Ukraine. They sent $114B
The EU did not send $100B to Ukraine. They sent $132B.
