This week we ran comprehensive end-to-end testing across everything we have built so far — from authentication to payments to fleet management. The goal was simple: make sure every layer works together as a cohesive system, not just in isolation.

End-to-End System Testing
- Authentication flows tested — email/password login with bcrypt-hashed credentials, signed JWT session management, and Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE) all verified end-to-end across the full request lifecycle
- Spend Portal verified — wallet connection, device ID hashing, feature/plan selection, and two-step on-chain $TATSU transaction flow all tested and confirmed working. Every spend replay-safe and tracked on-chain
- USD payment flow via Stripe tested — full card-in to settlement path exercised in Stripe test mode with test cards and mock account. Authorized, captured, and cleared cleanly with no manual intervention
- Fleet Manager Backend verified — MQTT data ingestion via EMQX broker tested under simulated multi-device, multi-sensor load. TimescaleDB storing and querying time-series data correctly across all simulated devices
- Fleet Dashboard confirmed — fleet overview, per-device telemetry charts, feature-unlock history, export functionality, and auto offline detection all rendering correctly against live backend data
- Account-level tier enforcement tested — Pro plan grants, AI credit bundles, and cloud-level access enforcement verified across login sessions. One enforcement point, no per-device state sync required
- Security layer stress tested — per-IP rate limiting, account lockout, strict data isolation, and HTTPS/TLS verified across all endpoints. Confirmed that one user cannot access another user's device data under any tested scenario
- All layers passed testing. The system works as a cohesive whole — not just as individual components

Firmware Development: Adopting Zephyr RTOS
We have started work on the most critical layer of TatsuOS — the firmware that runs directly on microcontrollers. After extensive internal discussion, experiments, and literature review, we have decided to build on Zephyr RTOS as our base operating system.

- Why Zephyr — after evaluating available options, Zephyr emerged as the clear choice: it is open-source, backed by the Linux Foundation, and supports a wide range of microcontroller architectures including the ESP32, nRF52, and STM32 boards on our roadmap
- Zephyr provides a production-grade, modular kernel with built-in support for networking, Bluetooth, OTA updates, and hardware abstraction — giving us a solid and well-maintained foundation to build on rather than starting from scratch
- Its active ecosystem and growing industry adoption mean we are building on something with long-term viability, not a dead-end stack.

Chip Design Team
- With the scoring pipeline built, we continued working on testing, just like last week — this time attacking the pipeline directly, acting as a dishonest miner trying to inflate our score without doing the real hardware work the challenge rewards. We forged the timing measurement to fake a 6× performance gain, and separately tried to hide unpriced memory from the area calculation; the pipeline caught both attempts.
- After this round of adversarial testing, the validation pipeline looks strong with no real issues surfacing, so we consider it finalized on our side. We may still run further testing for added confidence, but it is ready as it stands.
- The pipeline is working well and complete, putting us in a strong position to launch a challenge within a week of registering the subnet.
