@mplslove87@FrederickMelo They're the same plan, viewed first from the NW and then from the NE. you can see the shorter buildings extend down the hill toward the river.
@FrederickMelo There are a lot of people trading it that aren't producers, they don't understand the tech and many don't even own the key, just rights to the key (how SBF defrauded them). They haven't learned.
@CheyCab I live in Highland, bought four years ago. The assessed value has climbed a bit, but barely to what I paid, and not nearly to what I could sell it for. Rates have gone up slightly, I'm seeing a 9% increase this year. Still cheaper than Mpls, and so is my mortgage, so...
As a businessperson engaged in domestic US manufacturing, I have to agree wholeheartedly with the below. Any pipe dream of lower taxes would be decimated by the economic impacts of retaliatory tariffs and further global instability.
Presidents do not have to be saints, and we hope that a second term for Donald Trump would avoid disaster. But he poses an unacceptable risk to America and the world. If The Economist had a vote, we would cast it for Kamala Harris https://t.co/4AgfSEex9E
DON’T VOTE 🗳️ on St. Paul’s 2 ballot questions (childcare subsidies, even-year elections) until you hear what @MayorCarter and the 7 members of the St. Paul City Council have to say. I hounded them by phone, email, text, hallway conversation for 2 weeks: https://t.co/bXZ1Bp0ASd
@SethLargo@tamarawinter It's the tribal lobby in MN as well. The legislature can't find a path to keep the tribes in the payment flow when almost all the betting is on apps run from out of state. I'm fine with it being illegal; annoyed that the NFL stadium was funded thru expanded 'charitable' gambling
@PeteBlackburn In the South they say they are 'fixing to think on it' which is quite a bit more elegant. Took me two days to get someone in Mississippi to find a barge.
@BillLindeke My limited understanding is that the 7th St. Bridge / Fort Snelling bottleneck couldn't satisfy stakeholders and viable, cost-effective transit; so they pivoted to the streetcar thing which was never what anyone actually wanted.
@linebackrbarbie You might rethink that fruit tree. Unless you net or spray they are susceptible to bugs, birds, etc. Once they get tall and you can't harvest by hand, a big mess on ground for city critters to feed on. Get trees, but talk to an arborist or nursery first
@jillonair You've made a great contribution to the local airwaves and I'll miss those happy little moments on the weekends when you'd pop up and say kind and clever things. Thanks for being our imaginary radio friend all these years!
What was your economics education like and what do you think about the economy?
I am working on a presentation for the Symposium on Economics Teaching and wanted to collect some data on economics education. Pls fill this out if you're interested!

@maxwellbgood@CheyCab That's why they fall off the fastest on discretionary spending; the HELOC and note on the cabin and boat aren't optional. I feel a good toy buying season coming this fall and am holding off on a motorcycle purchase expecting some desperation
