@natashakorecki If you're still pushing this, which has been debunked by several news networks and fact checkers, it's because you have a reason to keep doing it.
This isn't journalism, and I suspect you know that.
Caitlin Clark scored 45 points and had 10 assists tonight, something never done in the history of the WNBA. Not bad for the 11th best guard in the league.
Everyone tells me that Elon Musk is a fascist because he could "solve world hunger" for a mere 3 billion dollars, but MacKenzie Bezos has burned through 26 billion dollars of her ex husband's money and accomplished absolutely nothing of note.
Adam Carolla has an old line about how if you want to destroy somebody’s life, just give them free rent in a shitty little house. You’ll come back 30 years later and find them still living in that shitty little house, because it was just too good of a deal for them to go out and do all the things that they would’ve otherwise done to improve their lives.
Yes, Trump could have been more gracious about Robert Mueller. Then again, the man asked Trump for a job, then tried to take away his presidency and his liberty. All based on lies. He was used by party hacks to divide Americans. A distinguished public servant tainted by politics.
That's not why.
He wasn't a leftist. They hated him for that. He made The APOSTLE, a drama about evangelical Christians that was respectful and nuanced, and not a Righteous Gemstones-style hit piece. He had to make it with his own money because Hollywood would not finance it.
He also played Stalin in a four hour mini series for Showtime, which Hollywood ignored because it told some truths about about communism, while they made countless movies about McCarthyism. And probably no other major star in Hollywood would have even taken on that role. Telling the truth about Stalin and communism would have been too "risky." But Duvall wanted that role.
He had values that they could not stand, but he was too good at his craft and too big a star for them to cancel him altogether.
They hated him because he did not fear them.
He was one of the greatest actors of all time, up there with Hackman.
The first scene I ever did in a movie was in Days of Thunder, and it was with Duvall. That's one hell of a way to start.
He was one of one.

Your father is the only man who's proud to see you doing better than him.
TMZ followed by several different other "news" sites (I use that term lightly) published a story with this all caps headline "PETE HEGSETH
BLEW BILLION$ ON FRUIT BASKETS, LOBSTER" accompanied by a photo with him, surrounded by a bunch of plastic lobsters.
If you've never covered the military, or served, or if you don't have any family or friends in the military this would seem like a shocking story.
But it's not--not even remotely.
It is a common practice for our country to provide these special meals to our service men and women at least once a week--Has been for decades.
I did my due diligence to prove my point to anyone who doubts my accuracy -- in 2009 when Robert Gates was the secretary defense during the Obama administration I present you with a story from a reporter who was embedded with the soldiers in Afghanistan.
"The lobsters and crab legs are shipped from the United States and driven down on a refrigerated truck from Bagram.
On seafood night, the crew serves up 400 of the tasty tails, 130 pounds of Alaskan King crab legs, and 135 pounds each of shrimp and scallops."

And here is a story from 2024 when Lloyd Austin was the secretary of defense and Joe Biden was the president of the United States.
"The military spent $103.7 million on meat, fish and poultry, including $16.6 million on ribeye steak and 147 orders of lobster tail for $6.1 million.
Orders of blueberries, ice cream and doughnuts also exceeded $100,000."

I am once again disappointed with the lack of balance and context in my profession. Deeply embarrassed and disappointed in members of Congress, who were tweeting this out. Why? Well because how is it that they don't know this?
You may or may not like who is the current president of the United States, but your obsession should not make something that is both a norm but also a show of gratefulness for our soldiers, an outrage to satisfy your unhappiness.
I know the family well and am texting Jason's brother-in-law right now. Here is the text:
There was no “confrontation”. Jason knew the students were coming and he was excited and waiting to “catch them” in the act. It had been raining and he accidentally slipped and fell into the road in front of the vehicle as they were driving away and was hit. The students immediately tried to provide aid until the paramedics arrived. Jason loved these students and they loved him too. Our family fully supports getting the charges dropped for all involved. This is a terrible tragedy, and our family is determined to prevent a separate tragedy from occurring, ruining the lives of these students. This would be counter to Jason’s lifelong dedication of investing in the lives of these children.

Barack Obama did a lot of damage as president, but the most destructive act was deliberately wrecking Donald Trump’s first term by masterminding the Russia collusion hoax.
There’s a huge difference between governing poorly and actively sabotaging your successor. A bad president can mismanage and pursue bad policies, but those actions, however misguided, at least come from an electoral mandate. What Obama did went far beyond that. He set a trap designed to cripple the presidency he was handing over. He didn’t just target a political rival, he corroded the office itself.
It was an extraordinary act of political sabotage. Yet remarkably few people even realize the central role Obama played in it.
