@bill92384 @JaredB_BSBL I’m paying registration fee, uniforms/equipment, gas/hotel, and food. The coach can coach at practice and during games. Beyond that, I’ll make the real decisions as the parent. Club/coach wants to pick up the ENTIRE tab for my kid to be a part of the team? Okay, no swimming.

@Dwilliams1515 @CoachWorkouts Entitlement is rampant in our society in every aspect of life. Especially is sports. “He/she owes it to his/her teammates to stay at “x” school!” Translated- “My son/daughter won’t have same chance of winning if they aren’t on the team. It’s not fair!”

@Matt_Rodewald @TrustTrost What an atmosphere. Watched 2A and 3A with youngest daughter last year and there was 1/10th of the crowd there. High school sports are the only pure sports left. Thanks for the share!

@KnuppelRodney As a Pekin guy, born and raised, I can’t stand losing to Morton in anything. But there is absolutely NOTHING better than watching a Central IL team beat teams from the Chicago(area). Finish the run Potters! Congrats and good luck.

@KnuppelRodney College. I get it. Don’t like where it has gone, but it’s billions of $$$ and 18-24yo adults. High school transfers for the sake of sports…another example of parents failing their kids. Teaching young people to run from challenges and or toward “easy”.

@barstoolsports Good. This crap has to change. Get rid of it in little league too. Don’t give me the “it makes the game fun” 💩. Played travel baseball from 8 to 18 and had a blast with my teammates without all of the crap that goes on today.

@KKlinkradt @hoijim The job of sports media is to be objective in their reporting. Not a “homer”. I’ve watched Jim since early 90’s, was fortunate enough to have him cover my high school career, and have tuned into him covering Central IL sports for 35yrs. He is one of the best in his profession.

The confidence Cignetti had post game tells me they had UofI beat in every detail going into the game and he knew it. It wasn’t even close last night. Disappointing.

@JWerner247 The LOS is -3 yds at the snap. I’m not sure I’ve seen an OL get pushed back so quickly. And I’m tired of hearing about Feagin being a beast. He plays like 185lb RB and has no feet in pass pro. He needs moved to DE

@paulspacey @Mickyoungbhoy It’s about money. $75 reg fee and parents are okay with Sally only playing a few minutes. $1500 in fees, $400 kits, and a couple overnights; Sally deserves 50% playing time. Even though she only shows up 1x a week due to “conflicts”.
