The report from Shams here that Giannis was not involved in the Jenkins hire, and that there is no communication between the sides is entirely FALSE.
As I reported earlier this week, Antetokounmpo was involved the process and met with Jenkins on Tuesday. #Bucks brass has been adamant about working together with their superstar as they build for the future.
@Swagrat2016 @WirsingBrent@NBA idk where that comparison came from but that’s not what i’m trying to say. Rollins had a bigger jump from a lower starting point compared to the finalists - i understand what team someone is on somewhat a factor but he’s the second best player as the second youngest guy
@Swagrat2016 @WirsingBrent@NBA he’s in the tweet you originally replied to, but listen, i’m not gonna fault you for not watching bucks basketball but he has been our second best player and was consistently pulled during garbage time
@Swagrat2016 @WirsingBrent@NBA you’re question was a textbook straw man argument that has nothing to do with what MIP should be about. Rollins went from a two way g league player to a borderline all star in one year whereas two finalist took years from become all-stars after being selected in the lottery.
@Swagrat2016 @WirsingBrent@NBA let’s use our brains here. Jalen and Deni were picked 9th and 11th which are not middle teens at all. but the expectations are much higher for lottery picks compared to second rounders. so when a second rounder makes a similar jump that a lottery pick does, it’s more significant.
@Dame_From_Deep@NBA sure but that also doesn’t happen has often as you think it does. besides, deni and duren were lottery picks compared to rollins who was a late second rounder
@Dame_From_Deep@NBA buddy, I have no idea what the team aspect has to do with an award called “most improved player.” Rollins was a late second rounder who was completely off the radar that jumped 11 PPG from last season.
@OysterOwl@fowler23_sean@seasoner10@tomhfh “defense from what” is such a misnomer. it doesn’t matter, there doesn’t even need to be a threat. European nations don’t have to pay for their defense because America will just do it. This allows European countries to spend more on welfare programs, infrastructure, etc
@sawacs@Mericamemed I was referring to Napoleonic France in the 1800s. When the French Empire projected its power onto the continent of Europe and elsewhere. Not WW2 - which is where the “France surrenders” stigma comes from
@sawacs@Mericamemed France used to rule continental Europe but now the French (and Euros) have this weird pride envy thing whenever America projects power. i’m not a fan of this war but if France were to find itself in a similar situation, I wouldn’t actively root against you
