1) I'm engineeringly concerned that he's obviously got the wind at his back and what little propulsion he could theoretically get from the duck-flight could probably easily be surpassed by even a duck-sized sail. And 2) I desperately want to know what music this prepends.

@ryanleachmusic Braveheart by Horner is a score that is not ashamed of repeating the theme, to the point that listening to the soundtrack can get repetitive the way the theme seems to bookend everything. But that’s partly why it’s so memorable.

@jgmusic A childhood watershed moment for me as well. My mom was learning a piano arrangement of the theme for a class. I hadn’t seen the movie yet. One day I sat at the piano and picked out the melody by ear. Then my mom said it was time to get me into piano lessons.

Had the most surreal/hyperreal experience listening to Traveller by @awintory while driving up the Sierras coming home from #GDC2023. Right at the climax of Apotheosis, Mt. Whitney came into view. May have (definitely) cried a little.
