@lukegeraty I went into Patristic studies to investigate where they went wrong, but ended up falling in love with so much of what I read. Still mining the gold years later.
Zipper club member myself. At age 51, this past Feb, I had a double bypass (due to not taking care of myself) and an aortic valve repair (due to a congenital condition). EF still only running between 25 and 30%. God has been so good. My still-beating heart goes out to all my friends who know the trauma of open heart surgery. Prayers and peace my friend!
@PageauJonathan@pearlythingz I truly hope she comes out and apologizes - not for trying to find answers, but for the way she went about it. I think it's good to seek answers, but this is not how you find out the truth. Seek in good faith and you'll get accurate answers.
@PageauJonathan I find it interesting that an X user would accuse you of sophism while using ad hominem attacks against you (which are a classic expression of sophistry). I had a good laugh this morning.
I must daily remind myself to put God's kingdom first. May the words of Jesus from Luke 12:40 continually echo in my mind and heart: "Therefore, be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him.β I'm reminded of something Seraphim Rose wrote that often shakes me out of my slumber. He said, when speaking of the times, "It is later than you think." Powerful reminder.
@WesleyLHuff@MikhailaFuller Do you see any connection between Paul's 1 Cor. 13 "tongues of angels" and the pseudepigraphal mention of speaking in the dialect of the angels by Job's daughters in The Testament of Job? As if, Paul may have believed that the Angels had a dialect of their own?
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.β

@drantbradley Myrna (the teen) is active on Facebook as is still telling it on the mountain. I don't see any singing posts, but she's bold with her faith. Kudos to her.
@mbird12 Will watch as soon as I can. Iβm curious about how this idea balances with some of the clear anti-Jewish rhetoric in some of the early post-biblical Gentile writers.
