Physical therapy “check ups” should be just as common as any physical or dentist appointment. There are so many patients that could’ve avoided hospitalization/fall if they visited a PT office once a year #advocate#DPTstudent
What I’ve learned about Vestibular PT:
1. Doctors will send a referral for vertigo 95% of the time when it isn’t
2. Meclizine is overused and for most not beneficial
3. No patient education
4. Vestibular PT is underrepresented in health care

A patient came in to the clinic and gave me a cold brew from Dunkin because I cleared her peripheral vertigo in one session when she’s been dealing with it for 20+ years. Wish I could say I haven’t had Dunks in 20 years but she fueled my obsession🤘🏻 #VestibularPT#choosePT
Calling all OP PT’s: how do you improve communication between MD’s and other health professionals when coordinating patients plan of care? I have been put on hold, sent to voicemail, and rarely get a call back. Help! #PT#Communicate
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” We must continue to raise awareness, research, and most importantly TALK. Do not let silence take over...We are all one ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 #BlackLivesMatter#blackoutday
Calling all PTs/PTAs!! When studying for the NPTE, did you find it useful to focus on one system at a time or bounce back and forth between systems to change it up?? Trying to find the best ways to retain info🥵 #NPTE#PT#PTstudent
Was able to witness a handheld 3D scanner for prosthetic fitting for one of my patients w/ a BKA. Technology is AMAZING when it is used right 🙌🏻🔥 #DPTstudent
What I’m learning in my OP neuro rotation.... it’s a whole lot of work and stress, with lots of moving parts but its SO rewarding to see a TBI patient walking without an AD for the first time🙌🏻
Seeing a patient who is not diagnosed with PD but demonstrates “parkinsonian” characteristics (ie inconsistent step pattern, flexed posture, shuffled gait). Has anyone used Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation in their treatments? If so, yay or nay? #DPTstudent
Doing my research on #TravelPT and boy is it overwhelming. As a student it’s important to find a company that aligns closely with what matters to you the most. For me, it’s new grad mentorship!!🙌🏻🙌🏻
