Measured water level of nearly 18 inches on top of the storm drain today in Weston. Floods along roadway much deeper than they appear, especially along the shoulder. Don’t drive through this...it won’t end well.
Nothing says a Democrat-rigged election like [checks notes] losing ~10 seats in the House, failing to take the Senate, and gaining no state legislatures.
Seen a lot of chatter about how we should have been more prepared to handle all this rain. With higher sea levels caused by strong onshore winds (storm surge), it’s that much more difficult to move water out. We live in a swamp. Do t be surprised when 16 inches floods the road.

Keep in mind, many of these same locations in #BrowardCounty already had 16 inches of accumulation in the 4 weeks leading up to the tropical storm. That means some spots have seen 32 inches of rain since 15 October. See my Tweet from this morning.
@jonfavs You don’t think the left is making too big a deal of this? It’s obvious he lost and it will play out in the courts. That will shut them all up for good, especially if it comes from his own appointees.
@SoFlaYNWA @KerGlobal I would say both. The City can pump into the canals, but if they can’t open the control structures because sea levels are too high (caused by tides and winds), it just backs up. This is a hell of a storm, and the water has to go somewhere. Better the road than my living room!
@SouthwestAir Not your fault, got it. But maybe make it easier for your customers to figure it out? Post staff to help passengers figure out the right gates, put out signs. I shouldn’t need to check the website when I’m standing in front of the departures screen...
Just walked clear across terminal 1 because the departure signs at #FLL are completely inaccurate. Nobody knows where their gate is. No announcements made, no assistance provided unless you outright ask. Get it together @SouthwestAir
Check out this post by @johnenglander featuring work by @abogdanoff about the Lunar Nodal Cycle and how it could influence sea level rise rates, even making them APPEAR to decrease over the next 5 years!

Welcome home @DwyaneWade! I think I speak for all of #Miami when I say can’t wait to see number 3 back on the court with a @MiamiHEAT jersey again. #WadeCounty is back! https://t.co/DVOuJyJ0mR
