@slbsn Sunk Cost Fallacy: the phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial.
@TTRadioOfficial@SchoolsWeek "Gen Z teachers ... don’t talk to me about 1265, they talk to me about flexibility, fluidity, a sense of purpose and accountability, a sense of investment."

You can fuck right off. This is one of the greatest areas of the city and beloved by generations of Mancunians. There are few things more Mancunian than going to Wilmslow Rd for a ruby. It's a right of passage.
It's also home of The Clarence one of the most established traditionally Irish pubs (not a fake modern version) packed with Irish builders, labourers and tradesmen from the 50's onwards. The tenements and bedsits in the area were home to the first waves of Irish and West Indians to travel to the city.
There were and remain shabeens where the likes oh Phil Lynot and George Best would drink in the wee hours.
It is a symbol of everything that makes our city a city built of love not out of snide minded suspicion of the other and hate.
You know fuck all about our city, the people of it despise people like you. I pity you and the miserable, joyless life you have chosen, you're a frightened fraction of a man who lives in perpetual fear of his neighbours and his own grotesque shadow.
